This is sorely needed.

Many characters desperately need some background, and hopefully this fills in those blanks. Sadly I could see a few titles most in need not making it to the zero issue (oh hi Hawkman!)

YEP. That's been the problem, IMO, from the start. DC was flying by the seat of its snowpants with only a very vague plan for most of the Nu titles. At least that's how it has seemed.

This could be cool. I would like to see an origin story done in Flash. Never really seen a modern take on Barrys origin. Coming from Francis and Brian it could be fun. I'll buy the zero issues for the books I am reading.

How could he possibly be allowed to go on a date with Iris? If he enjoys the date, they might go on more dates and I don't know, maybe one day get engaged and brrrrrr get married?!?

Since Barry's real name isn't Buddy Baker, that probably won't be allowed to happen for him in the DCnU

His new origin will involve one of his coworkers shaking up a can of Extreme Mtn. Dew and putting it on his desk as a prank. Barry is listening to Cannibal Corpse on his iPod, and he opens the can and is sprayed by the exploding soda, as is his iPod, which shorts out and sends radical to the max amounts of electricity coursing through his veins.

And there's a horny chick in a bikini in there somewhere, too. Maybe this all happens while they're having an office party with strippers. Y'know, just to make sure the readers know that this is really very, very extra-cool, and definitely not their father's Flash.

Good idea, a good way of adding some much needed back story. I would assume that Justice League Nd Action wouldn't need them as they started From the beginning, but there is always more they can add.
