Default Just got the new Wizard. . .

Now putting aside the hatred for Wizard this week . . .

This was an awesome issue. I'd read it for yourself because there is some cool stuff and announcements in here.

And here is that cool stuff and announcements summed up.

- Interview with Jim Lee on the new Wildcats book.

- Warren Ellis's team book revealed. Called "Nextwave" and has B-Listers like Machine Man, Photon, Boom Boom and more. Here is is summed up "An elite, superhuman task force of H.A.T.E. (Highest Anti-Terrorism Effort), the Nextwave team was orginally hired by the government to stop superhuman terroists, but finds their own organization is the one behind big-time bad guys taking out small towns in rural states where superheroes never venture, and decide to turn on their former bosses"

- I'm not sure if this was previously announced but an ongoing Green Lantern Corps title with Gibbons and Gleason.

- More on X-Men: Deadly Genesis

- Wizard World Boston which is the first i heard of that or noticed it on September 30- October 2nd 2005

- McNiven will be artist on Singer's Ultimate X-Men run.

- A list of Favorite comic creator sites and GEOFF JOHNS.COM WASN"T THERE!!

- Interview with Bendis on House of M

- THE ANNOUNCMENT OF DC'S 52. 1 comic a week for a year. Launches in May 2006 right after Infinte Crisis. Fills in the gap of the lost year. Looks awesome

- First I heard of a JMS Silver Surfer mini-series in 2006

- A hilarious two-page thing about the brutal Golden Age Batman

- A V For Vendetta and a bit about the Winter Soldier.

- Interview with Mike Mignola and with Paul Jenkins about the Sentry and Dark Horse's Revelations.

- A great interview with Geoff Johns looking back on his 5-year run on Flash

- A great interview about X3 with some interesting bits such as: a love story between Storm and Wolverine, at least 3 mutant deaths one possibly caused by Phoenix, Phoenix with a battle with Xavier, a mutant cure by Angel's father, Storm has HUGE role, more of Wolverine's story because "Wolverine will alwasy be the center of these movies", mini origins of new mutants and even the origin of Jean Grey when she first met Xavier, no Sentinels, as of right now a small glimpse of the Danger Room with Iceman and Kitty Pryde in it, probably no Colossus, possible new costumes, probably no R rating and more.

- A long Alex Ross interview. I stopped reading it because every thing I read about on his opinion on something i would disagree. I mean he didn't like Spiderman 2 at all.

- A profile of 5 Image titles

- An amazing preview of Infinte Crisis you have to see to believe (with already one character looking to be dead; HINT: he's on the Freedom Fighters)

- Director's Cut of New Avengers

- Day of Vengeance is the Book of the Month

- and Geoff Johns is STILL #2 to BMB *sigh*

GREAT issue

I'll quote what he said:
"I was upset last year when everbody kept saying "Spider-Man 2" was the best coming book movie of all time. Because I kept thinking, 'Oh guys, you don't realize how dumb this movie is.' You're not going to be albe to say that in five years. This is a really dumb script. The things these people are saying to each other are dumb. You need some perspective."

He's also not happy with the new Superman costume and he hated the new Star Wars.

He's also happy to not be involved in DC's All-Star line.

Well..considering that they didn't go with his costume revamp..I'm sure hes holding a grudge.

Its amazing how Ross doesn't like anything new or any changes unless he is the one making the changes or creating the concept.

And..fyi....not saying Spidy 2 is the best comic movie of all time...but if in 5 years another movie comes out that is better..then the title will change hands.

Thats the way it works. Its hard to put a movie that doesn't exist yet in the running for "Best __________ Movie"

For someone who thinks other people need perspective..perhaps he could find another word besides "Dumb".

Also..the Ego of the man to think that the people making the claim do not have perspective.

A comic a week?! That sounds so cool. Will it be like an issue/arc per each DC comic (like an arc for the Bat-books, Supe-books, JLA, JSA, TT etc.), or something else? Or was that part just not mentioned?

Thanks for posting the info!

Argghhh! I think I'll have to get the issue because of Geoff's Flash perspective.

Defender, do you know how long the Jim Lee and Geoff interviews are?
