Default Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes: Secret Origin!

Dan DiDio announced that the story that Paul Levitz is working on, and will come out after Brainiaic and the Legion of Superheroes is Superboy and the Legion of Super-heroes: Secret Origin!

I can't wait!

....I feel REALLY stupid now. ROFL. No one say where this is just yet 'cause the site in question might've done this on accident and take it down until Friday. (Though if you think about it you can find it easily enough.) But Dan has confirmed Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes for 2010.

My guess is on Newsarama. All week they've been releasing a 4 part video version of DiDio's 20 Questions thingy. They just released part 3 this morning so maybe part 4 was accidentally put up too for a little bit.

It's definately awesome news. Now I'm wondering if it's in the form of a mini-series or if it's going to be Paul's first storyarc in Adventure Comics.

Okay, Newsarama just put up 20 Questions part 4 with the Legion news. DiDio says that the Superboy and the Legion Secret Origin story will be in Adventure Comics right after the Brainiac crossover story is over. I like that Paul is doing a Secret Origin story because the Legion continutiy has changed since the last time he wrote them so this gives him a chance to iron everything out and possibly set up some history stuff to explore later.

And I assume the Adventure annual that was mentioned as the beginning of Paul's run will probably be moved to the end of this Secret Origin story.

I like a S/LSH book a lot better than putting the team in Adventure Comics. And I like having Superboy on the team again. I don't see why he can't be both the Legion and Teen Titans. In fact, he should be. But first and foremost he should be a Legionaire.

Absolutely not...I'm personally hoping that this "origin" refers to Clark Kent as Superboy, but I think the legal issues make that impossible.

Conner and the Legion have never felt right to me. If Conner is going to be a Legionaire he shouldn't have come back to the 21st Century.

Whether that's true or not, to me, is moot. IMO, the Legion needs a Superboy. Whether it's Kon or Clark I don't think it matters. The franchise needs a Superboy because he's what kicked it off in the first place and when he was removed after COIE everything went into the toilet.

I imagine DC is trying to fix that.

When you said a Superboy (Kon, Kal, or otherwise) it got me thinking...Chris would work well with the Legion, and it'd be a good way to fix his aging issues (if they haven't already been fixed).

I love the cryptic Geoff we used to see so often in the first few years of gj.com. Glad he's back and I hope this is the first of many such posts to keep us salivating.

...Screw that. If Kon doesn't work, how does Chris?

Anyway, I don't want Kon hanging out with this Legion. I'd rather him be on the TT, and team him up with the new Wanderers whenever they show up.

But I'm loving this, and I hope we get plenty more Legion in 2010.
