SDCC: HOW NOT TO BREAK INTO COMICS

This panel met with a standing-room crowd at noon on Thursday, in the largest of the small rooms (Room 10, with about a 200 seat capacity).

The speakers were Randal C. Jarrell, the managing editor at Oni Press, and Jennifer de Guzman, the editor-in-chief of SLG Publishing (Slave Labor Graphics).

Jarrell has 11 years of experience in the trade and de Guzman has 22 years, so between them they have seen many of the mistakes people make while trying to break into comics.
