Who wants to see Flamebird & Lady Blackhawk team up?

You know, I always wanted Flamebird to put in a guest appearance but it was sort of hard to imagine Oracle calling on Nightwing's "stalker". and it was hard to imagine Black Canary treating Bette Kane well.

But what if Lady Blackhawk and Flamebird crossed paths in L.A.? Oracle might be FORCED to have Bette help out?

These two might be interesting oepratives for Oracle on a mission or two -- maybe because they don't seem that compatible.

I have been clammering for Bette to become a Bird of Prey over on the Titans boards for over a year now! Glad to see someone else feels the same! I think if Flamebird was taken on, we could finally get some well deserved character development and finally see that Bette can be far more lethal than others give her credit for!

I wouldn't mind seeing Flamebird in BOP, but I rather see her team up with Huntress or Black Canary.

Flamebird would make an interesting member for all the reasons bgztl mentioned she wouldn't mesh well...could be some great dynamics with her trying to earn the respect of the big 3, since they WOULDN'T take her seriously. Plus, Bette might learn a thing or two and surprize people as a result.

if geoff doesn't have any plans for bette in the near future i would love to see her on a mission, or two with BC, huntress, etc. she has such potential, and is underused. i wonder if barbara knows her aunt kathy post-crisis?

That's a phenomenal idea, bgtzl. The two seem like kindred spirits, but Bette seems just that step apart that her relationship with the other Birds would be abrasive.

I like both characters and this seems like a cool way to give them some face-time.

I'd loooooooooove to see Bette show up in BoP with that electric yo-yo of hers. She's a natural for BoP and has the potential for a lot of character growth.

In some ways, she's very similar to Barbara as Batgirl - the Nightwing infatuation is just the tip of the iceberg. She has an unbreakable fighting spirit, great athleticism and the need to prove herself. It would be interesting to see how that would play out with them together. Would Babs be annoyed by her until she realized they have more in common than she thought, etc.

I think Canary might take to her in a Green Arrow/Speedy protege sort of way. A slightly older mentor who had to prove herself to the "boys" club every step of the way.

Huntress and she would grate against each other - probably mostly due to Huntress. Bette's competitive nature would really rile Huntress. Huntress has a sense of confidence and devil-may-care attitude that Bette has never found. Bette's more of a pleaser. I'd love to see that evolve and change as both characters could be really good for each other. Imagine those two getting caught in a tough spot and having to rely on one another. Could be great characterization and potentially good comedy.

Flamebird would be an interesting mix to the BoP lineup just for the fact of the Nightwing thing and her not being that good in many peoples eyes. Plus she is competitive (as Mr. Prince said above) so it could do a kind of Gimly/Legolas thing like during the battle of Helms Deep when they were keeping track of kills. She would be an interesting partner for Canary and Huntress.

Wasn't she pretty much over Nightwing when we saw her in the Beast Boy mini a few years back?

I'd love to see her prove herself in BoP, or in Titans.
