Default Will Teen Titans #50 Remember Impulse's FIRST Titans Tenure?

Before Geoff's run, Impulse was a member of the team in New Titans #115-130.

Impulse as a Titan on Arsenal's Team

Impulse's Titans Membership:
New Titans #0, 115-130

Impulse served as a Titan on Arsenal's team from New Titans #115-130. Impulse didn't do much in the 'fabric' of the Titans team; He did have a fair amount of 'panel time' - and his youthful zest at being a member was refreshing, following the depressing tone on New Titans #100-112...

Impulse's membership makes sense in the context of the direction Marv Wolfman plotted: "So the role of the New Titans is a club for the young DC heroes, a way of getting together with their peers, a place where they can be with their own kind and learn from each other as they grow." In that respect, Impulse fits in the team perfectly. Impulse did befriend some of the younger members of the team, including Damage and Terra. He also confessed a crush on Rose Wilson in issue #126. Sadly, these glimmers of future developments were squashed with the title's impending cancellation. Impulse didn't take part in the last four-part storyline; His last 'real' issue as a Titan was in issue #127.

Here's some excellent stuff from the awesome New Titans #126, one of my fav issues from that run!

I wonder if I'm one of the only ones who liked Jarras Minion.

I honestly doubt they'll remember Young Justice beyond a throwaway line. I hope I'm wrong, but I fully expect the rememberance to be almost completely about Kid Flash.

the Todd Dezago/Todd Nauck team is doing a story, so I expect a YOUNG JUSTICE recollection there-- Dezago wrote the first Young Justice team-up!

Wolfman/Perez: Will be about Wally as Kid Flash
Dezago/Nauck: Will be about Bart as Impulse in YJ
Johns/McKone: Will be about Bart as Kid Flash in TT

each flashback sequence is like 4 pages or so, I believe--

How much you want to bet that Superboy will NOT be in the issue at all?

From everything we've heard, it's not like there's a whole lot DC can do about it right now. They're watching their butts. You can't really fault them for that.

Kon's a pretty marketable character. I'm SURE they'd want to use him in some capacity if they could.

Thanks for posting that training scene. It jsut re-inforced the fact that I NEEED THAT ISSUE. That was a great scene.

I pray that some of the memories from be from this first run,and hopefully from Rose's end.

I thought Geoff Johns said specifically that he was writing a Kid Flash AND Superboy flashback story for #50...(and it involves a bat-plane).

Did I hear that wrong?

Ah, I miss the days of Arsenal, when Roy was actually, you know, unique and interesting. Bart from any era is great, be it Impulse, Kid Flash, etc.

Superman Returns was a great film. DO NOT REBOOT!

I miss Rose and Tara as a force to be reckoned with. I miss Bart's crush on Rose. I miss Tara and Grant's little almost-relationship. I miss the era so badly!

There was a lot of interesting things from that era that I will add to:
-- I liked Donna and Kyle as a couple
-- I liked Damage as a kid that was trying hard, vs. the battle-scarred emo-Damage
-- I liked the hints of a Mirage/Arsenal Romance, and pictured those two on covert missions together...
-- I liked Rose way back then... mostly from her scenes in #126!
-- I too, miss Terra II!

All of those were great. I've been noticing the more I've read of that era that Miri and Roy were getting pretty close. It's a shame that it all ended so soon though, because Marv was buileding up all these interesting tangents and then never got to execute them. And NOW it seems like everyone in the company has either forgotten that era or just refuse to acknowledge it
