Can DC REALLY compete with Marvel?

IIRC, Superman and Batman had their day. Even though they still sell ok today. Marvel has Spider-Man and X-Men. Plus their Ultimate Line. That's all they really need. That gets them over the hump in sales. Can DC really compete with that. Dan Dido or no? Many might not like Dido, but at least DC is competing with Marvel some months.

If not, how can DC up there sells?

I dunno uncanny is pretty good.....astonishing too. spiderman....the sensational annual was amazing and wel amazing is actuay pretty good again after they wizzed all over it with the other and sins past....not to mention te cramy goodness that is te consistency of Ultimate spidey

i am sick of these silly threads that trolls start, dc vs marvel blah blah blah,

nearly all of my comics are DC that i buy.

marvel to me is going backwards, while DC is going forward, countdown, amazons attacks, sinestro corps war, sean mckeevers titans, batman's outsiders, all the wildstorm and vertigo titles too.

and by the way Orion. I wasn't trying to be mean earlier. I'm just annoyed by the constant use of Dido from people in a way that seems like either a lame attempt at either protest or insult. no slight meant to you by my initial posting. I'm genuinely cnfused by it and I've seen Dido used as a form ofdisrespect from some poeple.....honestly it could e just you spelling it wrong accidentally and if it is I mean no slight to you

Well, they beat Marvel back in the day. For quite sometime. But for the past 20 or so years, it has been Marvel, for the exception of a couple of months here and there. Marvel does a better job at marketing than dc. Which is where DC lacks. I think if DC pushes out more and quality All-Star titles, quality Vertigo AND Wildstorm, DC has a good shot at equaling Marvel. Until then, I don't see anything happening. Although Dan is doing a decent job already.

So since you don't like DC, Superman, Batman, and Uncanny Xmen, their day must be over. I like everything you just listed as boring, so obviously there's a market for them and there day is thus not over. Just logical, right ?
