Default Didn't Morrison give the origin of Weapon X???

I seem to remember that he was Weapon roman numeral ten. Did Morisson do anything else with Wolvie's origin?

Seriously. I didn't like that aspect of his X-men run.

Default Weapon 1

I thought it was pretty cool that he tied it into the Super Soldier program.

He let Wolverine find out who he really is, yet no creator since has played that up. Nothing new there.

You can call it whichever you want. The point was that there were 9 weapons before him. And the weapons that came after him, OOHH BOY... only from the mind of Morrison.

his run was good and definitive. Beginning, middle, end. As more comics should be. Sits nicely on my shelf and is the only X-Men I need to read. Besides, Wolverine cuts off Magneto's HEAD!! Eff Claremont!!

-Dan

I look at the X-books now, and it's 1994 again. No thank you.

Sorry..... someone else tied the Weapon X program to the Super Soldier program, and that happened over in the Weapon X series.....It was the Mr. Sinister Issue.....so NO, Morrisson just bit off the concept, like he does with everything else he "writes"/apes/mimics/trashes when it comes to his run on "NEW" X-Men. I would've still loved his work, had he never touched the X-books....

X-23 is the 23rd attempt to clone Wolverine.

The first 22 were male and did not work as the DNA strand recovered from Mr. Howlett was not in tact. They attempted a female, and BAM! Wolvy junior!

Or is that a false implanted memory like her Dad's?

AoA Spoiler!!!

The X-23 in AoA was the daughter of Logan and Mariko Yoshida!?

I thought Weapon I (or maybe it was 0) was insinuated to be Captain America. I loved Morrison's X-Men more than any X-Men I've ever read in my life. I wish Clarement had never come back. Classic Clarement is exactly that: Classic. But for the love of god why is he back?

Maybe the 22 other Wolverine clones are the ones appearing in all of the other titles...

Maybe it was
Weapon 0 - Isiah Bradley
Weapon 1 - Steve Rogers

...

Weapon 8 - Wade Wilson
Weapon 9 - James Hudson
Weapon 10 - James Howlett
Weapon 10-23 - 23rd clone of Weapon 10
Weapon 11 - Kane from Cable & X-Force

Would that be about right? I really know nothing about X-Men but this has me intrigued...
