I hope he comes back eventually but not just yet. I'd like to see writers actually write Superman dealing with his death more tho.

I wish he was actually a clone of Superman, and maybe an unknown person. Make that person Lois and you have a definitive connection to the Superman family.

If he does come back, (and I don't think he will. DC seems to have something planned) it would be cool to maybe make it a guessing game. Make it so four different Superboy's appear. Like maybe an armored one, a clone, one claiming to be from the future and a cyborg version. And readers have to guess which one he really is, if any of them truly are him!

(sorry, I couldn't resist)

If it takes a lame story to bring him back fine. Just have him come back! I'd rather a good story, but in the end I'll take what I get.

Yeah, it's not like the lame ressurrection story can't be retconned into a better one later anyway.

They both can be revived at the same time. Because I agree Kal-L should of had a better death.

Look...If they brought back Superman saying that he needed to be recharged by the Yellow sun...Im betting that is the same for Kal-L's case as well....Who knows has anyone ruled out that Kal-L is Supernova???

Superboy was/is my favorite character, and I want him back terribly. I love the idea that you say his death had the impact that Barry's had but that's just not so. First off, having either of them (Barry or Kon) return would not counteract what they already did. Second at least when Barry died his death directly caused the battle to sway. Superboy on the otherhand died by metal from the tower that was destroyed in the fight with SBP. He shouldn't have died that way at all. As Superboy would have said in the 90's "It's my Tacktile Telekinesis, protects me from everything. Pretty cool huh?"

Yeah but he did totally sway the fight one way... Alex Luthor no longer had the tower to rebuild the multiple earth anymore... He no longer had his 'petri dish'... He paid back Superboy prime for the brutal asskicking he got in the first battle, evidently saving more than a few lives there... Left the heroes with the understanding of what went wrong... and why their actions could not happen again (the death of a kid)... I really enjoyed the Superboy, IMO he was a very dynamic character... And to be quite honest, I believe there is more to be said for him (as there is for any heroic character who died)...
I think the Tactile Telekinesis powers were in overload when taking on SB Prime... Con-el himself even knew he was on the last straw in terms of taking the Superboy down...

Heck, what he did was freakin HUGE
He took down a stronger powered Clark Kent who was roughly the same age as himself. In terms of accomplishment, it means a whole lot, and many writers can have a hayday with that point, esp. in terms of Mr. Luthor and his abilities

If they bring Connor back....Who died a noble Crisis death....Then they should bring Barry Allen back...Who also died a noble Crisis death....Or they keep both dead.

Conner died an unfair death in the peak of his popularity...Barry became popular because he died (and he deserved it )

I miss the character terribly. Teen Titans isn't the same without the Robin/Superboy dynamic. I know he died a noble death, but, having found out later that it was supposed to be Dick Grayson...it doesn't feel noble anymore. It feels like a great superhero was tossed to his death in a last minute switch.

If you read Infinite Crisis carefully, you can almost see the way they were building up Grayson as a hero that everyone loves and respects. I'm not saying they should have killed Grayson, but his death would have touched almost every book in the DCU.

Maybe they can give us Conner fans an Earth-2 version of the character? One that acts the same but doesn't know Robin or Wonder Girl.

Agreed. If he comes back too soon his death just won't mean anything. I liked the guy, but he should stay dead because the alternative would just be sloppy and far-fetched.

I admit I liked the idea of having a Superboy in the Teen Titans and did not mind that he was a clone, but the problem I had was his connection with Luthor. If you were Luthor and knew that Kon-el was close to Superman, wouldn't you try everything in your power to bring down Superman, like planting a bug on him to find out Supes' secret ID? And wouldn't Superman be concerned about Kon-el's whereabouts, hanging around Luthor would not be a good thing? Why weren't these scenarios ever presented? Do writers think they have an audience of airheads that would accept any lame story concept?

Conner was my first comic book crush and will always be one of my favorite characters, but I say until Kesel comes back to write him he should stay dead. Even in TT Conner was barely the kid I feel in love with, instead of being an optimistic kid who tried his best and would pick himself up off the ground after every fight, he became dark and withdrawn.

Consider how out-going and talkative Superboy was for pretty much his entire series and appearances until the end of YJ (which was a pretty poor rendition of him also) when he joined TT he pratically became an introvert.

So I say leave him dead because if they brought him back, especially if they "graduated" him to the next level then he would be even less of the character I used to like and there really wouldn't be any point for me.

Yup, it's not like teen agers can't be extremely moody, but switching his clone source to Lex Luthor (an interesting yet somehow kind of cliche twist) and turning him into the brooding rebel with a t-shirt and jeans (YUCK!) type

...well it's not that I didn't like him, but I far preferred the Kesel / Grummet version from his own run.

The Superboy / Conner that died was kind of like the Superboy Prime that caused the damage...tweaked and changed in personality and origin

(yes, go back and read the original Superboy Prime story where he grew up on the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S. and very very explicitly did NOT lose his powers under a red sun)

and well, neither one of them were the characters that I actually liked so well.

Kind of like how the Phantom Menace is a Star Wars movie, well yes and no...

The key phrase being "too soon" of all the deaths in Crisis On Infinite Earths the ONLY ones to stay permanent at this point were

well
Barry Allen Flash, Tula (Aquaboy's girlfriend) and Earth 2 Dick Grayson (Robin)
Prince Ra-Man, Bug Eyed Bandit (who who??)

Huntress even got a reincarnation...
heck even Ditko's Starman got a reprieve...
the Crime Syndicate AND their Earth came back (why does no one notice this in the DCU the Multiverse at least one more Earth has been back for a while now...)

though I will take Linda Lee Danvers over Britney Zor-El anyday...
