Dinah having to be rescued by Ollie...Looks like this is still going to be a Green Arrow book that just so happens to feature Dinah as the little wife.

I thought the same thing from the preview though i'm willing to see if the rest of the issue is more balanced.

The rest of the preview reads okay.

I'm not too sure on how I feel about DC bringing in all these TV writers for their books. This preview doesn't exactly impress me or make me want to follow this book and I'm worried about that Eli Stone fella taking over a Superman when nothing from that show has really struck me. Same for Kevin Smith whose comic work is no more then passable reading for me. Hopefully this doesn't just completely backfire on DC or end up like the Wonder Woman relaunch did.

The art's a little eh, but the callbacks to Diggle's Year One (the most underrated mini of 2007, IMHO), and a fresh take on Ollie has me intrigued.

Superman Returns was a great film. DO NOT REBOOT!

I sincerely hope that after all the hard work Gail went through to make Dinah an A-level fighter in BoP that she is going to clobber this "joker" herself. She's the leader of the JLA...she should only need two seconds to knock him out.

Dinah's always been one of my favorite characters so I'll be reading this issue with particular interest on the resolution...

I think the actual voice here is surprisingly strong.

That is to say, the narrative is very engaging.

Whether the story will hold together? That will be the key.

I'm on board, though.

I'm on board for this, but I'm not sure I like Dinah having to be rescued.

I'm actually impressed that Dinah survived Winnick without any scars. Hopefully Kriesberg will be able to do the same. I'm ready for a new writer in a bad way (Winnick's stories are just so frikkin' dull) but only if he writes the Canary well...and by the preview I'm not yet impressed, but until I see the whole issue I wont judge.

The most important thing to me about what this new guy does is how he handles Dinah. She was far and away my favorite female character of the DCU and I haven't been able to read about her since she left BoP.
