So is it just me or are the DC new releases never available for purchase at 2 pm Eastern time?

They're up right now (2:02 est).

Also: the latest issue of Sweet Tooth is up. Did Vertigo just go all stealth same-day-as-print?

I don't see Batgirl #2 -- anyone else having the same problem?

Batgirl #2 is not on the shipping list for the week - appears it didn't come out at all. 1st new 52 book to miss a shipping date.

Hmm, I've kind of been wondering if my app just doesn't update very well. I'm 5 hours ahead, but they aren't up usually until a while afterwards. Now they're saying the whole store is down.

Wow. That's . . . surprising. Though to be fair it wasn't listed for list week on the website (unless they changed things).

Lots of stuff going on, I'm too lazy to link to all of it.

- IDW is now on comixology, and the G.I. Joe titles are being released same-day.

- DC put up the first series of Steve Gerber's Hard Time series last week - great underrated series about a teenage boy sentenced to prison.

- Vertigo is going same-day - Sweet Tooth already is, and most of the remaining titles are following suit shortly.

- Marvel is offering a code in print copies of Avenging Spidey #1 for a "free" digital copy.

- Marvel is putting collections on its app every Friday, often at insane prices ($24.99 for Maximum Carnage?), but occasionally at good rates. ($6.99 for New Avengers v.2).

- The DC/ Amazon exclusive deal on GNs is apparently only for a few months - presumably they will have digital GNs widely available thereafter.

- Spaceman #1 from Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso is due out today, print & digital, at a digital price of 99 cents.

So with Marvel announcing that Avenging Spider-Man will continue, at least through #3, to be sold with a code for a "free" digital download, is anyone else ordering the book from DCBS to get the code at a 40% discount? Seems to me to be a nice way to bypass Marvel's insane digital pricing.

Newbie to digital here.

I currently read all my Dark Horse comics digitally on my laptop (it's cheaper). I don't have a tablet or ipad.

Can the DC/Vertigo & Marvel digital comics be read on a laptop or must be read on an ipad/tablet?

Thank you.

The DC/ Vertigo books can be read on a laptop with no problem. I'm not completely sure about the Marvel ones - they do it a little differently. Anything purchased through comixology can, AFAIK, be read on a laptop.

next question: how does one go about that? comixology? or some other website?

Comixology is the best and easiest to use.
