I dunno... he's no Rick Springfield...

Anyhoo, while the cast all around is great (Chi McBride!), and the trailer looks cool, as a big fan of Peter Milligan's take on the character, I'm kinda disappointed that a) the psychological themes are most likely going to be sacrificed for 'splosions and b) Chance won't actually be assuming the identities of the people who hire him.
But that's just the whiny fanboy in me. I'll at least give the show a chance.

No pun intended.

Sigh - that was the most unique part of the concept. Loved those old Dick Gordanio drawn stories.

Fox will repeat the Human Target pilot episode on Tuesday January 19th at 9pm after Idol.

Then Human Target settles into its regular night on Wednesday the 20th with a new episode.

After starting this thread I felt dumb for forgetting it was on.

I'll be tuning in on Tuesday! It seems like the show got good reviews.

It was fun. And of course Jackie Earle Haley just ranks up the cool factor as Guerrero.

But he's just king of the geeks this past year and continuing his reign.

And yes when they put this out on DVD I really want them to include the Rick Springfield series. LOL I remember watching it when it came on over the summer when I was in NY in my cousin's room.

Agreed. And now is the perfect time to put the entire Len Wein/Dick Giordano HUMAN TARGET run in trade. One book would be all it takes.

I enjoyed the first episode; thought it was an interesting set-up.

Would like to voice my support for a release of the original Rick Springfield series and trade paperbacks of the original material.

It was a fun action/adventure pilot. Wonder what the long term plot will be? I assume there will be one as opposed to all stand alone mission of the week, as that's where Tv's gone the last several years but who knows?

DC should have put the original stuff in a Showcase Presents at least and the Milligan run as well to capitalize on the premier episode.

Looks like they are setting up the "Why is he doing this?" story arc based on the dialogue between Chase and Winters(?)

That it had already been made into a show probably made it easier to pitch. Its also pretty well tailored to TV in its basic concept, IMO.

The second episode managed to keep me on the edge of my seat as well. More BSG alumni show up in guest roles this episode. So far I'm liking it, and I hope Fox doesn't pull the plug too soon...

Were the ratings bad for the pilot? It was on against the Golden Globes...
