Hard to believe (moderately) respected actor David Ogden Stiers thought this was a good career move, isn't it?

And be glad I couldn't find stills of the first Aquaman pilot (the one where he uses starfish as throwing stars)....

Are you "doesn't get the gag guy" today?

Anywho, I'd like to see a JLA movie. Who I'd cast? Jeez, I dunno.

Bruce being Ted Kord? Hmmm...I see Bruce Campbell being more of a Booster Gold, myself.

Superman: Routh
Batman: Bale
Wonder Woman: Morrena Baccarin (Serinity)
The Flash (Wally West): Paul Walker
Green Lantern (Hal Jordan): Jim Caviezel
Martian Manhunter: Vin Diesel
Aquaman: Brad Pitt (think Achilles from Troy, just underwater )

Was going to suggest Morrena Baccarin as Wonder Woman too. From Whedon's hints I would guess thats who he would like to cast in WW, but the execs probably would want a bigger name.

Now this would be a great looking movie:

Angelina Jolie as Wonder Woman
Halle Berry as Vixen
Jessica Simpson as Black Canary (fishnets of course)
Morena Baccarin as Zatanna
Charisma Carpenter as the Huntress
Jennifer Lopez as Fire
Kirsten Dunst as Ice
Gillian Anderson as Oracle
Kate Beckinsale as Hawkgirl
Kate Bosworth as Supergirl (forget lois)
Angie Everhart as Batwoman

I agree with Samster's choice except the areas in bold:

Superman (Brandon Routh)
Batman (Chrishtan Bale)
Flash (Ryan Reynolds)
Green Lantern (Will Smith as John Stewart or Freddie Prinze Jr as Kyle or Nathan Fillion from Serenity as Hal)
Martian Manhunter (Vin Diesle)
Wonder Woman (Morena Baccarin from Serenity)
Aquaman (Paul Walker)
Green Arrow (Orlando Bloom)
Black Canary (Jessica Alba)
Hawkgirl (Ashley Scott)

A while back, I thought that Orlando Bloom would be perfect for the role of Green Lantern. Thus, you are not alone on that opinion. Also, it is not impossible for Alba to be Black Canary if you consider circumstances, so good call on that one as well.

Actually, you would be surprised. If Whedon has his way, then he will cast a virtual unknown, and Morena Baccarin could be that virtual uknown. After seeing her picture at IMDb, I can say that she could really be Diana if the creative team give her the right look. At least, I know that Morena is no stranger to the DC franchise as she was voice of Black Canary for Justice League Unlimited (I like when IMDb get some things right ).

I love women, too, but this is too much eye candy (even though all these ladies got the talents, skills, and brains to back them up). There has to be a balance, you know. However, you do have good selections for the roles. The only ones that I would change would be the actresses that play Wonder Woman and Supergirl. No to typecast Jolie as she has done different roles, but I see her more as Catwoman Selina Kyle. As for Supergirl, I could say who I had in mind for the role, but I don't want for people to go and commit suicide over my opinion, so I won't mention her name (but I will say that it is not Britney Spears).

Don't like a single one of these, and sadly that includes Routh and especially Bale--I'd rather have the Batman from Batman: Dead End!

The rest of your list is just too common, c'mon break out of the box and try some interesting actors--

Default Justice League

Warners Spinning Up A Live Action JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie!?!? With Writers Already Hired, 'Twould Seem So!!

Warner Bros. is looking to make a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie, so says THIS ARTICLE IN VARIETY.

The LEAGUE has been seen in multiple permutations over the years, including animated series, a failed live-action pilot (see below), and a recent appearance on SMALLVILLE.

They're far enough along to hire writers - Michele and Kieran Mulroney (Kieran is the brother of actor Dermot).

Lots of questions here. Will this be stand alone, or somehow connected to a future BATMAN or SUPERMAN film? Will Superman or Batman even be included in the project? If so, would (or could) Christian Bale or Brandon Routh reprise their roles for this? Or, will we get a distractingly re-cast, parallel version of them? A SMALLVILLEized approach, perhaps? Or, will they be strategically sidestepped altogether?

Where does Wonder Woman fit in, given that her movie isn't exactly plowing forward?

The mind boggles with the possibilities...

This project could be either disastrously awkward, or one of the coolest things to come around in quite some time. Should be a lot of fun to follow.

Question More Justice League movie casting talk

Personally, I'm not sold on this. But the cast seems interesting enough.
