If you'd read the article, she says she has a part, just not a large one and there is speculation she may have been joking about Murrays' age.

Actually, I watched the video and she said she "might" do it, and if so, it would be a small part. It didn't seem like she was joking about the ghost part--it looked like she was playfully revealing a script spoiler.

Bill Murray as a ghost has been a rumor for a long time, so I believe that it could be in the script. I personally think it would be awesome, since Murray's laid back demeanor would be a good contrast to the rest of the team, who would probably be going crazy asking him questions about being a ghost.

Bill Murray as a ghost....

...sure, why NOT?

At least then we KNOW it would be different than the original (Ghostbusters 2...was a little too close to the original; needed a little more time to make a more original story, and not quite have the same pacing as the original movie).

I AM excited for Ghostbusters 3!

I'm not convinced she's 100% joking in that video. She may have actually revealed a spoiler - BUT it could also be a spoiler from an early treatment or draft of the script. Perhaps even an idea they were floating to see what people think about it.

I liked Janine Melnitz when I was a kid.

I don't know how I feel about Ivan Reitman directing. He kind of fell off and got weird after Kindergarten Cop.

Rick quit acting after the death of his wife.
I highly doubt it.

He pretty much sticks to the off chance voice acting gig.

As much as I'd like for this movie to be absolutely awesome, I'm still very hesitant about it. While I'm sure it won't get made unless the originals all sign off on it, I'm still on the fence.

I'd be okay with the originals training a new generation. Seth Green, Seth Rogan, Jason Bateman and Michael Cera.

One of the new Ghostbusters will be a woman. Good! The boys' club idea is tiresome.

I just hope Winston gets more of a role this time around. He was awesome in part 1 ("I'll believe in anything as long as there comes a paycheck") and while part 2 was okay, it seemed that he lost his fight in him.

Same with Dana. Part 1, she was tough and scary but yet likable. Part 2, she has a baby and while she seemed tough but watered down a little.

As for the role of Oscar, I feel it should go to Sean William Scott. He's due for a big role.

Is it confirmed that Seth Green, Seth Rogan, Michael Cera and Jason Bateman are the next 'Busters?

From /film: Aykroyd Reveals Details of New Ghostbusters ‘Leader’ and Busting Tech
Aykroyd also mentions that Bill Murray’s condition for returning was that Ernie Hudson’s previously underwritten role as Winston Zeddemore would be beefed up to put him on equal footing with the others. A class move, Mr. Murray.
