Let me just say once and for all, if ANYONE is getting threatened in PMs SEND_THEM_TO_US!

We hear about people getting them all the time, and then an hour later when we ask for them so we can take action we are told "Oh, I deleted it." So, PLEASE, if ANYONE is sent a threatening pm, FORWARD IT TO A MOD OR TWO!

Quoted for truth. I'm sure if someone was sent a pm threatening them and saying things like they (the poster who sent the pm) could have you banned if they feel like it and you reported the PM to the mods, that's GOT to be a zero tolerance situation for the mods and they'd be fair and equitable and in fact ban the person who sent it, regardless of who they were and how long they've been here.

Just saying you got the pm without sending proof? That's just a he said/shesaid situation with no possible resolution.

Yes, and after this post, and until some new event brings this subject up again, for my part, I am done.

I do want to say though, I would prefer you look at this situation or issue is an individual case that each of us have, rather than some collective case.

I chimed in, in fact because I actually felt that some things being said - by Crow in fact - about the motivation/impetus of the Tom Mix thread where erroneous, that and I didn't want the impression being that a bunch of us had decided to make fun. It wasn't. I decided to do it, and I wanted my reasons known (at least when others were left to suppose).

Others may have jumped in for a bit of fun too, but it was not some gang-like event.

You keep referring to a "case", well, I cannot speak for others, but I have no "case".

I do have a conviction that is founded very much on facts, and personal experience, and the experience of posters - some now gone - who have been bullied and ostensibly harrassed by the person in question. That conviction is that you are allowing a bully, that fancies himself (and I am only inferring this from the PM's he has, on occasion sent me) the Tony Soprano of the BLOC, to have a pulpit to spew his rhetoric and bile from.

Anyway, I will consider Leonard's advice in another thread, as it was pretty salient, and consider using the 'ignore option'.

The "case" I refer to is the fact that you guys are on one hand arguing that you were only making fun of a trend and not targeting a particular poster, while you are coming in and telling me how terrible this particular poster is.

As long as someone stays within the rules of the board, he won't be banned. It's pretty simple. I don't like some people on this site, but its rules that I live by.

Which is a better place to take a date; a Roller Rink or Bingo Hall?

Miniature golf is great. I love helping my dates with their putts. It also gives you a legitimate reason to touch them on the first date. Same thing with pool. If you can help your girls with their shooting, it gives you an opportunity to get up close and personal with them. And believe me, the girls I've met just LOVE my wandering hands...

Alright, back to the topic at hand since this IS Dover's blog and not just a random junk thread...

Dover, being the playa that you are, how ever do you find the time, amidst all your playing, to post so much on a comics message board?

I actually read some comics because of the dialogue. You can pick up some funny stuff along the way that you can use on women.

He'd have to take them out of where they spend most of their time and rebuckle his belt before being free to type a reply, so we should be safe.

Of course I have, but I've never heard of anyone naming it "them" before.

To each their own "them" it seems.
