Default Anyone reading Flash these days?

Just curious if anyone thinks it's worth it at all. I love the CW show and I was a big Flash fan when I was younger. Love the power set and Waid and Johns' runs were great but wasn't impressed with either the late pre new 52 or early post new 52 I'd checked out. In store today looked and I don't think the current writer's name rang a bell with me.

I admit I dropped it about a year into new 52 and hadn't read it. So no help, but am curious about the answer from anyone currently keeping up with it.

If you like the show, the comic is following the Reverse Flash/Flash theme from the show. Some definite parallels to both.

Do you know what issues or trade that started? I think I read the first post 52 trade with the multipleman type guy and wasn't feeling it. I'll admit I might prefer Wally? Isn't the show's Barry sort of a hybrid? Barry in the comics is sort of an older more serious /straight laced guy?

I'd start with issue #41, when Zoom appears & go from there.

It's alright. It's nowhere near as impressive as Waid or Johns' (or even Manapul's) runs, but it has its moments.

In other words, if you're setting the bar with Mark Waid and/or Geoff Johns, you're going to be REALLY disappointed. But if you're just looking for a decent read with impressive art, then you might like it.

My grade: C+/B-

I read the book for the first 25 issues or so. Didn't hold my attention.

The TV show is phenomenal. Starts a little slow, but really builds on itself.

First off, let me acknowledge firstly that I am a HUGE Flash fan.
I take great pride in my collection that goes back decades.

That said, I can't recommend this book to new reader.
I buy it monthly out of habit, and haven't enjoyed a storyline for years. (Before the 52 reboot)

I'd say keep watching the incredible TV show and wait until DC show us what's coming for the 'Rebirth' before dipping your toe into the comic book universe.

You're being generous Keith!!

I'd give it a solid D.

Yeah, I can understand why you would grade it so low.
