Default DC Comics Direct Channel #820 (Flash, Superman news, shipping updates and changes)

NEW SERIES ARTIST TONY DANIEL PENCILS THE FLASH: THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE #11

Acclaimed artist Tony Daniel (TEEN TITANS) steps in to pencil THE FLASH: THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE #11 (FEB070274), written by Marc Guggenheim and inked by Art Thibert. Daniel will remain on THE FLASH as the new series penciller.

In this story, called "Full Throttle," the top Rogues are united by one voice to take down the Flash - but who is it?

"I'm looking forward to working on THE FLASH with Marc Guggenheim, who I think is a very gifted and unique up-and-coming writer destined for big success," says Daniel. "I've always been a huge Bart Allen fan and The Flash is one of the most recognized DC icons. 'A' game, here I come!"

Also, DC Comics has added a variant cover by Daniel to issue #11, which retailers will receive in a split of approximately 50/50 with the solicited cover by Ethan Van Sciver.

THE FLASH: THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE #11 (FEB070274) is solicited in the February Previews (Volume XVII #2) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on April 18. Retailers may adjust their orders on this issue through its Final Order Cutoff date of March 29.

It'll take more than the Man of Steel to save the day this time. Enter: Wonder Woman! But even their combined power may not be enough to halt a curse older than time itself! This issue is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 28. Retailers may adjust orders on it through the Final Order Cutoff date of March 8.

SUPERMAN #662 (JAN070269) now will feature the start of the 5-part second half of "Camelot Falls," previous slated to appear in issue #661. Another month where it looks like DC will get most of their delays taken care of in one month.

Everyone start hoping. :-)

I hope so too. I am still pretty bummed about not having any Action Comics in March though.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Did you see the McG Hawkman and Nightwing? Hawkman's substantially bigger than J'onn J'onzz. There's no way Batman could have disguised himself as that Hawkman without looking like a five-year-old in his dad's shirt. The reason they bump things forward is because they ain't too concerned about quality control. And before everyone poo-poos me, just think back to the giant Knightfall Catwoman...and the giant Justice Poison Ivy...and the giant COIE Batman...and the horrible KC figures, worst of which was GL with stickers rather than paint and which pops open like an Easter-egg...and all the figures with such horrible centers of balance that they can't stay up even with stands...and how falling a foot to a carpeted floor is enough to break most DCD figures...and the fact that they recalled the entire first wave of COIE figures 'cause the decos sucked...and how almost none of the first wave of Hush figures came with the accessories they were solicited with...and how I could keep on going and going. I challenge anyone to look the Identity Crisis Black Canary straight in the eyes and not start screaming. And yeah, to those who would tell me to stop buying them, with the ridiculousness of the McG Hawkman and Nightwing, I'm not getting anything else from DCD until they give a crap.

So now it seems folks are looking for continuity in action figures .. height, weight etc should be consistent .... figure to figure .. set to set.

Glad I don't buy more than the occasional interesting Batman or Hal Jordan figure.

As far as quality is concerned .. I have to agree . some of these figures just awful .. outside of completists I can't imagine anyone looking to buy a lot of these. Same for Marvel figures for me ... all those 'points of articulation' .. especially in the stomach ... make the damn things look like freakish high school cheerleaders with eating disorders.

For the most part I have been enjoying the Batman b/w statues .. and I really liked the New Frontier figures

The Ed McG figures are a certain taste. I only have a few of them, namely the Flash, Capt Atom and now the Hawkman (Because he's awesome, with a honking BFM and the claw of horus) and Nightwing (To go with Wally)

DCD do need to look at quality control because their recent stuff has been patchy in places, but they're doing so much cool stuff that we've asked for, it's not the end of the world.

Are you really making a comment now about how people who buy action figures shouldn't care if Catwoman is noticeably taller than Batman in a series or if Hawkman is much larger than J'onn J'onzz? Sorry but there's a point where I just can't take all the "I don't care about continuity or consistancy and neither should you" believers seriously anymore.
