Default Aquaman TV Series - Dead in the Water?

Just found out. It appears the new Aquaman TV series has not been given the final green light by CW Network and may now be dead.

Apologies if this is old news, but I just found out about it.

Followed the link to the trailer. That was sweet! If the trailer was any indication Aquaman should have been a great show. I just can't believe after all the hype they aren't going to put it on!

Maybe they'll hold it back and run it as a mid-season replacement.

I find it completely unlikely that they'd not broadcast the pilot at some point in next year's season.

After seeing the trailer, I'll be a little choked if we don't get to see it!

That looks great!

Wasn't there a fair span of time between the making of the pilot and the series being picked up with Witchblade (which needs to be on bloody DVD already)?

This show looks sweet! I really hope they come to their senses and put it on the air.

I said it once on the Aquaman threads, I will say it again: This news sucks!!!

That trailer was effin' awesome!!!! I had very little hopes for the show myself, but watching it made me want to see more. It seems vaguely comic-related, but it works for me. The intrigue of the Bermuda Triangle adds another element to it. This is Aquaman! I am excited to see a show about AQUAMAN!!!

And you know what else? This show could have killed that silly stigma of the Superfriends Aquaman forever.

I hate it, hate it, HATE IT that shows like One Tree Hill and 7th Heaven are continuing and this isn't being given the chance. Excuse the overused TV cliche, but even Smallville has jumped the shark at this point.

"You can't run from your true calling, Orin."

CW, your cryin' out loud, GIVE THIS SHOW A CHANCE!

That is a real shame. I have totally enjoyed Smallville and I was looking forward to this new Aquaman TV show.

So excluding Aquaman from JLU was all for nothing. A real shame

Wait, they aren't picking that up?

THE TRAILOR FREAKING ROCKS!!!

Ving Rhames, the sarcastic AC, and the awesome graphics. That show must air! I agree with Skippy also; if we lost Aquaman in JLU, we better be able to see this show.

Superman Returns was a great film. DO NOT REBOOT!

I didn't see it, but before I do. How long would this show lasted? How big could it have been?

I have this cousin and I am trying to see it as he does. He knew Smallville has to do with Superman and he is big to last. His dad loved Superman when he was a kid. But Aquaman, he didn't know who Captain Marvel, Flash or Green Lantern until I came around. Nor did some of my friends.

Plus, to him and many people, if they knew about Aquaman, they give the sterotype of this: His only power is to call fish.

Most people didn't know The Flash or Witchblade before those series, but both shows developed strong followings and would likely have managed good runs without network mismanagement.

i'm not an aquaman fan, but that trailer got my attention.

I wanna see this.

and i think the guy playing AC is a much better actor than almost everyone on Smallville (except Rosenbaum, and Glover).
