Good move! I recently read it and those are some great stories. It's been my first time reading the series and I'm hooked. It looks like the final volume is out in February 2011.

I'm double dipping. I have all the single issues when thye first came out. The oversized hardcover format with better paper is too hard to pass for me.

At this year's Emerald City Con I had Rucka and Brubaker sign GC volume 1 hardcover.

All the story arcs are great but my two favorites are 'Soft Targets' and 'Unresolved'. It's a shame that the numbers for this series was not enought to sustain but more's the reason to celebrate the 40 issues that did come out

If I recall numbers had nothing to do with cancellation. I'm pretty sure Greg decided to end it because Brubaker and Lark had left for Marvel and he didn't feel right keeping it going without them.

It is still a shame it ended though.

If you weren't expecting this to be good, then you need to go and read a bunch of Greg Rucka comics. - MattDiCarlo

I still have to finish my run on this series. I stopped at #25 due to cash shortage but i intend to get the rest. And as the above poster said it was ended by Mr. Rucka.

Re-read the entire run of Gotham Central last week.
This really was a great comic.

Maybe DC will introduce something similar in the future.
