Default Green Lantern Weekend Box Office Poll!

I am pretty sure regardless of the negative reviews this will make some CA$H this weekend. What do you guys think? I'm putting my vote in 51-60 Million but with 3D inflating the price could be more...

In comparison Thor grossed $65 million its opening weekend and X Men First Class grossed $55 million. I think GL will be in between those 2.

I voted 61-69 million because I think Green Lantern will draw a large young crowd.

I said 41-50

I think it will do well but I will be surprised if it does 60-70. It's not Batman or Spiderman and I'm not so sure on how many yong non readers it will draw.

But regardless of how good this is I do see this movie doing well in the long run.

I think 50-60 sounds right with a huge drop off in the second week. The reviews aren't kind and unless this pulls big word of mouth, it's dropping like a rock second weekend, sorry to say.

I've got the pistols so I'll keep the pesos. That seems fair.

I'm hoping the foreign box office (like Fast Five & Thor) will be the measure of success.

For better or worse if it doesn't top Thor's $66 million, GL's opening weekend is going to be considered a disapointment.

Why? so $65 or 63 sucks and 66 is good? Never got this basic concept ... too much hype on first week-end sales not the actual quality of a movie.

It'll do fine opening weekend and then possibly drop off.

It's been on track by box office mojo to be between 50-60 millon. Although I don't totally agree with their opinion that WB bet all their eggs in one basket on this one that it needs to make 70 mill opening weekend to warrant a sequel.

Still trying to figure out why Iron Man who was always C-list character managed to make a 100 mill opening weekend. Robert Downey is good, but never was he a superstar attention grabber.

I'm thinking Father's Day weekend might come into play and there might be a lot of dads who are comic book fans so I went with over $70 mil.

I'd say GL is better known than Thor to the general public. Also, I think Ryan Reynolds as GL is going to be a factor. He does have his fans.
