Arrow She-Hulk getting her own series in 2013

From Superherohype: She-Hulk Getting a New Solo Comic Series in February

Hope this translates into her being a part of the movie franchise as well.

Surprised to learn Soules is a lawyer by day. Hope his background translate into great She-Hulk stories. Javier Pulido on art is always a plus

In really excited for this. Soule is really impressing me at dc and Pulido is one of my favorites. If its at least as entertaing as slotts run then I'll be happy. I dont expect it to be as funny but I hope theres some humor.

Sounds interesting. The lawyer stuff could be authentic (or, as authentic as fictional law is going to be) with Soule's background.

So four issues in and I really like this comic. It has all the hallmarks of the kind of comics people say they want (fun, for one thing) so I worry it's not long for the world.

But I'm definitely in for now. I've enjoyed the weaving of the legal and superhero piece.

The recent issues had a cameo with Matt Murdock and some hilarious dialogue.

Anyone else try the book?

Oh it's lovely. Took time to get used to the art (to start with I thought he wasn't really trying) but I love it now. Started reading the previous series (plural) as well ( on MU) and they look good too.

I enjoyed the Slott series; this seems a bit more grounded.

I quite like the art; Kirby + Allred feel to it.

I've been a Pulido fan since the Catwoman story he did with Ed Brubaker back in the day. I think he's mainstreamed his style a little since then (did I just verb a word? sorry.), but IMO his work on She-Hulk has been terrific.

re: previous series - Slott's run is probably the gold standard. It bogs down a little in the middle but the first year is gold and it ends well. I've been into She-Hulk since she was "Savage" i.e. her original incarnation - those aren't great comics but they're pretty fun to re-read if you just keep them in the context in which they were created. Not sure how many of those are on Unlimited.

Well I enjoyed the latest issues entirely despite the new artist who, IMO, failed to deliver on most every level. His storytelling choices made little help to the narrative and his insistence on imitating a "fish-eye lens" on several sequences was actually a barrier to his storytelling.

Its the kind of art that so doesn't work for the story I'm a little afraid it'll drive readers off the title, despite the fact that Soule again manages to deliver a solid read despite the art.

Fish eye lens, is that what that was? I just thought Shulkie gained Mr. Fantastics powers for an issue... On a serious note, I hope this guy doesn't draw for Marvel book I read again.

For a few moments, I was trying to figure out when Tigra had been replaced by a Skrull; and then I realized it was trying to emulate a fish eye lens for...no good reason.

Well the art wasn't quite as bad this time around (or maybe I was just inured to it) but it still wasn't what I'd call good.

I don't think we're done with the blue folder yet, either.

I noticed the art in the last issue that you're commenting on... It could work in some comics, but it seems like a strange fit for She-Hulk, or most any superhero comic.

I've seen sort of the "graphitti style" graphic art (which is what the artist seems to be doing) in other books where it worked.

Agreed it seemed a strange choice here.

Glad to see Pulido back on the title.

Liked the Ant-Man solo issue and the newest issue where we start the trial with Cap and Daredevil as the opposing council.
