Default Peter David recovering from stroke

From Newsarama: Peter David Recovering From Stroke

Not much is known other than what PAD posted on his website. Sounds serious but since he himself did the post that could mean he's doing okay. Here's what he posted:

We were on vacation in Florida when I lost control of the right side of my body. I cannot see properly and I cannot move my right arm or leg. We are currently getting the extent of the damage sorted out and will report as further details become clarified.

I heard about this yesterday and was hoping it was just an internet rumor. I hope that he fully recovers.

Peter's wife, Kathleen, made a blog post of how people can help them cover some of the expenses associated with Peter's recovery. I did a quick write up on it here: http://www.examiner.com/article/you-...vid-s-recovery

The jist is basically to buy PAD's books especially his novels. His Marvel graphic novels are the next best source. I bought the Kindle Edition of Pulling Up Stakes Part 1. It's 99 cents on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Ditto.

It was his Supergirl that brought me back to comics after a long absence and I have been a follower of his Fallen Angel and Star Trek: New Frontier since they started.

Hopefully, there'll be much more to come.

How You Can Help Peter David

"Even though Peter has health insurance, there are co-pays and the like, and since this stroke fell at the end of the year, there are all new co-pays to deal with, and there are things that the insurance company just won’t cover. So we are at the beginning of what is going to be a very expensive year."
