Star Wars: How Writers Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg Will Expand the Galaxy
Sources tell THR that each will write separate projects, not necessarily "Episode 8" and "Episode 9" -- a plan similar to Marvel's movies around "The Avengers."

Dave Fincher could be interesting as hell. If it has the right villain, like a Thrawn, his sense of pervading claustrophobia and mistrust could create something magical.

While the Thrawn trilogy is probably the best part of the expanded Star Wars universe (novels anyway). I don't see it happening because you would have to recast Luke, Leia, Han, and everyone else who is not a droid or wookie, and I just don't see that happening.

Since it sounds likely that Ford, Hamill, and Fisher will all be making cameos in Episode VII I'm thinking the story will take place 50-60 years after Return of the Jedi.

I'd be surprised if it was that big a gap. I would guess 20-25 years but who knows....again thats just a guess. 50 just sounds to long to me.

If this guy wrote and pieced this video together by himself, I'd say he's earned a position at least helping retool practically anyone's concepts.

Why would 50 years have passed when it's only been 30?

I don't even think 50 years have passed in the EU. It's only been what, 40 years I think?
