i read that as "we arent going to tell you till issue 12 comes out". I think they want to give as much excitement to the mini, then announce possibly after they have an event.

Yeah it's just their standard "We might kill Kyle at the end of his mini, so you'll have to keep buying to find out. Boogetty boogetty!" BS.

I don't know what criticisms of the series DC has to worry about -- the title seems to be selling quite well.

I'm sure that there's something coming after issue #12.

LOVE the cover. I would love to see Kyle and Donna reunite and STAY together. Stupid WW offices breaking them up!

Oh god, that cover is so ugly.

Apart from thinking Ion has been slow paced (although JLA wins that prize ) the art has been terrible.

I'm all for an ongoing, but come on, there must be better artists out there

So, is Kyle keeping the Ion identity then??

Much like any good decision..I think the final determination of an ion ongoing will come after the mini is over.

The thing with the Monitors will probably lead into another event in the DCU and feature folks like Ion, Nightwing, Donna Troy, and Supergirl after this maxi series is over. I'd expect after an event like that and the GLU event sometime next year Kyle will have an ongoing. I just hope rumors of heroes going to another Earth aren't true, cause that's a gimmick I really don't like. If Ethan is going to give us THE final look for Ion in his GL project next year, I hope we get an artist on a Kyle book like Dale Eaglesham or Joe Bennett. Maybe even somebody with a more cartoony style like Todd Nauck.

Hoping for the best in any case....

Agreed Dale Eaglseham is the artist for Kyle. An artist drawing an artist. I hope Kyle gets an ongoing with a bigger punch in the DCU. I thought the RM Ion arc was going to make a bigger impact but it hasn't IMO. It doesn't seem DC is pushing the ION concept. If EVS is going to give Kyle a new look I would like to see it cause the current Ion outfit looks too Captain Marvel for me. What made me drop the book was the art.

For now, who knows how long artists stay on a recently rebooted title. A year from now Dale could be burned out on a team title and ready to bring Kyle's character back to greatness. But we should get a better colorist who's worked on GL characters to a degree that they're up there with Moose, like Rob Schwager [spelling?].

I hope we see Ion in a team book or something if he doesn't get an on-going.

I want someone to kidnap Paul Pelletier and put him on the "Ion: Season 2"

Love the cover.

Keep Ron and Ion together.

I'll be there for season 2

Yeah, I was hoping they'd bring back Justice League International with an all new lineup consisting of redundant/neophyte heros like so:

1.) Donna Troy (leader)
2.) Ion
3.) Connor Hawke
4.) Tempest
5.) Firestorm
6.) Blue Beetle
7.) Mary Marvel
8.) Atom
9.) Batwoman
10.) Northwind
