Default Green Lantern animated series

The first story arc of the new Green Lantern animated series just wrapped up. I've been watching with my 7 year old. Hal Jordan, Kilowog, Guardians, Red Lanterns, St. Walker, Mogo, and more. I was impressed. It was certainly much better than the GL movie. Quite a milestone for Green Lantern fans.

Did anyone else watch? Thoughts?

I enjoyed it. I just hope the next storyline has something to do with Sinestro, because they completely skipped over him.

I'm enjoying it, (watching it with my son, too), but the CG is still a little off-putting for me. I'll get used to it eventually, I'm sure.

Good show. My little nephew likes Hal, Kilowog, and the "ball" Red Lantern (that's what he calls Atrocitis' lacky) while my niece likes the Star Sapphires, Ia, and Carol.

I think they've done a pretty good job at toning things down for the kids while still keeping some of the adult tones from the comics impactful (like the Manhunter Rebellion, the destruction of Kilowog's home planet, and the cost of being a GL sometimes through the deaths of the 4 GL's sent to explore outside of the 3600 sectors that make up Guardian space)

Again, good show.

I want to like it, but now I'm realizing why people think Hal is such a jerk...

I like it. I was hoping for a blu-ray announcement (why are we just getting a DVD release?).

My daughter and I watch this show, and she actually likes it more than the Avengers, although not as much as Young Justice.

When Mogo showed up, she was shouting with delight. Good show. Really good show.

Why we couldn't have gotten this kind of stuff in the movie I don't know.

No references available, but I thought I'd heard Larfleeze was going to pop up in an episode. Definitely spoke with a sculptor working on toys supporting the line. Still, you'd think there'd be official news.

I've got good news here for both fans of this animated series (& I'm a big one - animated St Walker is awesome) and a certain GL named Guy Gardner, via a CBR link: http://spinoff.comicbookresources.co...imated-series/

IMHO Diedrich Bader is perfect casting for Guy's voice

He did the voice of this haughty braggart character named Tank in the 2007 CGI-animated movie Surf's Up and IMHO that voice would be perfect for Guy.

Tank literally was the funniest character in that movie so I'm sure that we'll be in for some great laughs with Guy this time around

He also does the voice for Batman, though...

Yeah, I know he did the voice of Bats in the most recent animated series and he was fun there too.

But I figured for Guy he'd be a bit more haughty

For those who missed Surf's Up here's a link to a Youtube clip so you can here what Tank sounded like for yourselves http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1UYDibOX58
