Still digging this, is it true that Maya is going to show up on the next page (5)?

Thank you virtuadept and Jren! I appreciate it.

I'm thinking about some kind of competition for Maya where readers can help promote and win some stuff like T-shirts or Trade Paperbacks of other comics.

I would love to see Maya become very popular.

Best,

Chris

I was busy working on a game. I can't talk about it yet.

I hope you all are still visiting Maya from time to time. Page 13 went online 2 weeks ago... and I hope you like it so far!?

Best wishes,

Chris

I adore your style. I'm not sure how to describe it really, but its harsh and soft at the same time.

I just released my comic MAYA as a digital comic for FREE!

You can download an app for both iPhones/iPads AND all Android devices at the official site for FREE:

http://www.mayacomic.com

Please help me spread the word about the comic and if you like it I really would appreciate if you can write a review for the comic in the app store!

Thank you for your help!

Best wishes,

Chris

Just gave it a download, and pushed through the ads as long as I could tolerate to give it a look.

Seriously, the ads are ridiculous. In any context. But when almost every page is interrupted by at least three consecutive ads, it makes the book literally unreadable. I understand you have to monetize, but there are much less obvious, less distracting ways to do this.

That said, the art is beautiful. Couldn't get past the ads long enough to really read the story.

Out of curiosity, have you looked at comixology? I'm pretty sure that they take indie submissions at this point, and I believe they let you set the price. I'm working on a project myself, and that's the route I'm most likely to go.

Thanks for downloading it. I now see what you meant... I tested the app with a bad connection it seems. There is an error with reloading the ads. I put some ads on some of the pages, but they are reloaded everytime. That wasn't meant like this and I will upload a new app version for Android today.

Comixology is not an option because they rip off indie artists. This days you don't need a publisher because you can publish your stuff yourself. Publishing with comixology doesn't automatically mean your comic will get a huge audience, so for me this seems not a good option. But maybe I'm just tired of publishers making money of my work without seeing a cent in the end, like with my Harryhausen books. They are still sold from Bluewater over Comixology btw... but the only ones making money with it are Bluewater and Comixology. So with self-publishing I don't have to think about others and can do what I want.

Please watch out for the new version of Maya later this day.

Thanks again!
