Default Secret Six ... Ongoing?? ... Please?

So the sales for July just came out today.

http://www.newsarama.com/marketreport/july06sales.html

And there's Secret Six #2 at #48.

Now that's on par with such ongoing titles as Nightwing, Outsiders, Squadron Supreme, Legion of Super-Heroes, and not far from Action Comics.

Plus it's selling better than her other title (which deserves more sales); Birds of Prey.

So... what needs to be done to get this to be an ongoing. Or are the execs at DC going to finish out the mini and see the overall sales before making a decsion.

Or is Gail too overworked now what with Atom, Birds of Prey, Gen 13, and Tranquility. Nothing against Gail cause that's a lot of work for any comic writer so i'm not bashing her in that respect. I'm just saying that we won't get a Six ongoing only cause there's too much other stuff she's doing.

So let's get some voices on who wants a Secret Six ongoing and any comments from the glorious Gail Simone would be wonderful.

Long Live Ragdoll and his Hand too!

I love the Secret Six. As long as gail's writing it, of course, and as long as Catman is leading the team. Without Catman...there wouldn't be a team. (Jeez...I thought I'd never hear myself say that!) I've always looked on Catman as a Catwoman ripoff. Gail has made him a character that is beyond fascinating.

I also think Deadshot, RagDoll and Scandal are necessary. The other two slots can keep revolving. It might be a fun place for Shiva to turn up. Shade, from Robinson's Starman, is also a great anti-hero of sorts. I think he'd fit in quite well. (Shade was written so well that I wouldn't trust him in any hands but Gail or Geoff.)

As for an ongoing, I'd only want to see it happen if Gail could handle it. I personally wouldn't mind seeing a six issue miniseries once a year. Half a year is better than none.

I would support the book in any way, shape or form. One shots even. (A Secret Files would be awesome...)

I spoke with Dan about this last week, and he said Secret Six is "one of our strongest books." He's in our corner.

I believe the door is open for more Secret Six, if nothing crazy happens!

Not to be rude, but have you been inside a comics shop anytime in the past four years? EVERYTHING gets collected into a trade.

Glad to hear there will be more Secret Six.

Will Secret Six be an ongoing Title or continue to be released as Mini Series?

Boys, when that steel door slams shut, that's the end of the happy days. No more fishin', no more ball playin', no more peanut butter sandwiches.

Well, I will be picking it up but I am not sure if I should tell my buddy the chance of an ongoing is there. You`re bankrupting him you know. I hope you`re happy! *kidding*

Awesome. I really think this concept deserves an ongoing. We get to see so much of how the good guys interact in the JLA/JSA/Titans etc...it's great fun reading about the darker side of team-ups in the DC-universe.

No I haven't, been using a mail order service.

I wouldn't say everything, I believe the current Firestorm hasn't had a trade yet.

I would LOVE a Secret Six ongoing only if Gail Simone writes it.
Seriously Gail...you've turned 2nd to 5th rate villians into dynamic and interesting characters.
