Looks like Dynamite will be releasing a new DOC SAVAGE series by Chris Roberson.

A little more about it:

“We start in 1933, soon after Doc Savage made his first public appearance. The next issue takes place in the late 1940s, shortly after the last published issue of the Doc Savage pulp magazine. The third issue jumps forward to the early 1960s, and so on. Each of these issues will be self-contained adventures that gradually piece together into one larger story spanning some 80 years. The approach we’re taking is, just because the magazine was no longer being published, that doesn’t mean that Doc wasn’t still out there saving the world.”

Roberson is writing and publishing comics like a madman since leaving DC. Happy for him. He shows there`s life outside the big two.

I`m digging what Monkeybrain is publishing. Hope to check out his Dynamite comic work.

Yeah, THE MYSTERIOUS STRANGERS, MASKS, EDISON REX, CODENAME:ACTION, THE SHADOW, and now this... He's certainly prolific lately!

Well I'll wait and see how it is.

He's writing the SHadow now? I didn't like the initial run, how's his been?

Very good, IMO! Less Garth Ennis-y than than the first story arc.
Victor Geshler (sic?) had a nice run between Ennis' and Roberson's as well, IMO.

DOC SAVAGE is my favorite character right after BATMAN.

Hope its better then the FIRST WAVE stuff DC put on a couple of years ago.
