something at least...in my old age if i read a comic upon release and then have to wait a month for the next one, in only the rarest occasion do i remember what is even going on in the series.

more and more i'm beginning to enjoy the double-shipping series.

Can we get a "it's been 0 days since Marvel did something stupid" clock going?

The original Silver age marvel heroes written out due to corporate BS.

Between this, the Avengers titles being unreadable, and the movie walk-offs, I think this Disney/Marvel marriage is being shown to be a mistake.

Best solution is go the volume route. However, put the volume and the issue on the cover. Too many times, digging for back issues, I'll see more than one #4 for a title - now which one is the one I want to fill that pesky gap? So list the new what ever as V7-i12 or whatever.

But now really, don't care all that much big picture. I guess being a LSH fan, I've seen a tad too many #1's. Though ironically, two of the biggest changes - the traditional Superboy take over to become Sb&LSH back in the early 70's, as well as the, fallout from Zero Hour and the PZH hard reboot, in neither did they restart the numbering.

Don't often agree with you, but on this one, I think your thoughts are bang on. Sadly, overt corporate control of these two banks of properties allow for a lot of cross uses; however, there is like always, a price to pay - and that is the dumb top down decisions that time and time again mess with the toys often in very unpopular ways. <sigh>

I dunno about that story. It seems INCREDIBLY petty, considering how integral they are to Marvel's history.

Well there's not much you can do about company machinizations; FWIW though I haven't really been grabbed by Robinson's book as much as I thought I'd be. It's not bad, but it hasn't really broken out and distinguished itself.

It probably doesn't help that "team breaks up" is one of my least favorite stories, just behind "superhero loses his superpowers".

It seems Marvel has a good relationship with Sony since Spider-Man 2 toys are offered. No toys for X-Men DOFP and possible FF movie.

I don't buy the toys of any comic character, so this doesn't affect me. However, it does affect a lot of potential kids and adults who like to buy toys. Not going to lose sleep over this.

The toy thing is weird, but IIRC the only toys that came out of First Class was minmates from Diamond Select and a Wolverine claw, IIRC.

I think The Wolverine only saw a 6th scale figure of Wolverine released to the collectible market.

I'd be curious to know - not that it'd ever happen - who got the money off the toys. It seems to me that (excepting some sort of "no compete clause") that Marvel would put out comics-based X-Men toys since it'd be a way for them to leach money from Fox's film series.

(BTW, the Sony piece of the conspiracy theory does include that they have a better relationship with Sony (see the near-inclusion of OsCorp Building in Avenger's skyline) and that Sony has considered selling its movie operations (which could be an opportunity for Disney to get the Spider-Man rights back)).

I always assumed Marvel was going to let Robinson write as much FF to his desire and end current volume when the well runs dry. They would restart FF with a new #1 with a new creative team. They've done this since Hickman's run or ended his run.
