Default Nicieza's Dark Knight - Fabian Nicieza talks Azrael

The Pulse have posted a nice little interview with Fabian Nicieza on his current Azreal mini.

Here: http://www.comicon.com/ubb/ubbthread...912#Post539912

I really enjoyed the first issue of the mini and am eagerly awaiting the rest.

The interview is doubly reassuring as it implies that DC has plans for this Azrael beyond this mini and that Nicieza does have further DC projects in the works which is great news as, with the BTFC books and Trinity wrapping up in May and no Nicieza books in June, I was worried we might not get much work from him at DC for a while.

I loved the first issue as well.

I am sure he will get more work.

He should have been offered the main batman title IMHO. but that's another story.

Maybe he'll get a new Azrael book?

Or even Batgirl? Nicieza wrote that great Batgirl/Catwoman story in Batman Confidential last year to if he were to write a Batgirl book, especially if its Babs, then i'd be pretty happy with that.

He's confirmed he's not on Batgirl.

I'm guessing/hoping Titans or Teen Titans. Everyone is clamoring for it (everyone being me).

I thought the first issue was interesting, not what I was expecting and think it should've focused more on the character himself than the order. Anyways good interview I hope he does a Titans book or something like that.

Darn it!

Well, here's hoping there's still a chance that Gail Simone could write the Batgirl series.

Still, more Nicieza written DC books, whatever they are, are worth a look.

I'm still hoping Nicieza gets his shot at a Hawkman monthly some day.

DC will continue giving Fabian work, lest they risk him showing up at the office, brandishing a flaming sword, and bellowing "KNOW THAT MEN CALL YOU LIAR! KNOW THAT MEN CALL YOU BETRAYER!"
