Default Squirrel Girl

I have to confess that I've started to really grow quite fond of Squirrel Girl and Monkey Joe.

Check out the cover of GLA #3 -

It's not just a podcast, it's a GEEK TRAGEDY!

I like that cover. I took a liking to Squirrel Girl YEARS ago when I collected comic book trading cards. I had one of her and become a fan, even though I didn't know anything about her.

Further proof that any character can look menacing.

I really hope Squirrel Girl sticks around the MU after this book wraps. She might be a fun supporting cast member in She-Hulk Season 2.

That cover will be on my Top 10 list of comic covers for '05 that's for sure.

I just keep looking at that cover and how it combines menace and cute and parody (take That mister Dark Knight!).

And where's Josh? Shouldn't the idea of Squirrel + Girl be a total Josh magnet?

I don't know who Josh is, but when you put it like that it totally works for me. ;-)

Never heard of Squirrel Girl before this miniseries, but she's now one of my favorite characters.

I knew the name Squirrel Girl prior to GLA, but I think this is the first time I've seen her. Where did she first appear?

If I remember correctly, she appeared in a one-page ad where she defeated Dr. Doom.

Great cover, great comic. I just hope there will be enough GLA members left after this series to launch another mini or an ongoing.

I loves me some Squirrel Girl. She and Monkey Joe are totally making the GLA series for me. And Monkey Joe's "don't try this at home" comments are a hoot. Couldn't remember whether Squirrel Girl had ever appeared before.

Close. Her one and only appearance was in '91 in Marvel Super Heros Vol.2(3?) #8. She meet Iron Man and tried to become his side kick. The two of them were then captured by Dr. Doom who ended up being beat when Monkey Joe lead an army of squirrels the the heros' rescue.
