As a long time reader of FF. it is sad to see the problems this book is going through. The impending stop of this comic run and the problems with the relaunch of the new movie,This once great franchise has seen better days. This book has such a rich history of introducing new characters through out the marvel universe and was always a must read for me. I hope by the time they do a new relaunch of the title, that they can straighten out the mess it has become.

so i've read Stan&Jack's FF run, Byrne's run, Waid's run and Hickman's run: after that, what FF run would you recommend next?

After those? I'd suggest just stopping. You've already read the best the book had had.

While I agree with TJ mostly, there are a few other good runs... mostly.

Walt Simonson's is pretty cool.
Chris Claremonts is... not too bad overall
and uh... yeah that's for the best you're gonna get.

Actually. no.

the whole run from 101-200 is pretty iconic.

You had the Avenger-Inhumans tie in wedding of Crystal and Pietro with Ultron-7! Medusa replacing Sue! Johnny in his RED uniform! Galactus eating POPUP, Impy's world! And getting digestion! A Doom/Silver Surfer/Mephisto arc, the Addition of the Counter-Earth Reed Richards joining the Frightful Four! Too many to remember, but those stand out!!

and Tom Defalco's "NO ONE HERE GETS OUT ALIVE" arc is still killer, that's where Scott Lang came into the picture. HYPERSTORM is probably the best FF villian to come down the pike in years and the least used!

Been thinking

Just because Marvel is canceling the name Fantastic Four, does it mean the same characters wouldn't show up in a book with a new title?

Maybe something like "The Adventures of Marvel's First Family" or something?

I know speculation is that the characters will spread out on their own in the MU and will likely be the case. But in a year when Fox still own's the rights maybe the come back as a team with a different title name.

more than likely they will all become Avengers everybody is an Avenger now a days. Even though I wouldn't mind Sue storm maybe even heading to the X-men as a teacher at the school.(even though she isn't a mutant.)or maybe The Human torch joining a new Defenders group or The Champions.(if they brought it back.
