Yeah; a great Lou Fine Red Bee cover too. Also first appearances of (Joe) Hercules and Neon the Unknown. And the first appearance of a Horror Feature w/Horror Host (the Old Witch).

Funny story, I came *this* close to buying it once already, but I opted instead to buy a couple of later Hits w/Kid Eternity (plus a bunch of other silver & bronze age stuff) instead.

I might have been more tempted if it hadn't been slabbed, to be honest.

How big is the lottery? Because I'd rather buy a WHOLE LOT of Time Warner stock and promise the Chairman of the Board my proxy vote in everything if he gives me one ....little area of control.

you'll have enough to still buy as much stock as you want after your comic purchase.

And I know your first order of business will be to cast Jack Black as the new Green Lantern!!

There are a lot of key marvel books I would buy, but Tales Of Suspense #38 would be the first one.

Might go for the classic Flash Of Two Worlds because of its impact on the DCU.

i'd probably go around and buy (or upgrade condition on) the first appearances of all of the characters that were born the same year i was...

first app of Punisher, Wolverine, Iron Fist, Harvey Bullock, Deathlok, OMAC, The Wrecking Crew

I had that once. Not a great copy but I loved it. Still have the Flash 80 pg Giant where it got reprinted though. Sigh.

Its sad, but that is probably the last truly significant year in Marvel history.

I struggle to think of a character of any importance that has been created since then.

I mean you have Cable, Deadpool, and Venom (Carnage). Thats about it and really that isn't much to hang your hat on in 40 years.

I'm the proud owner of this one!
Took me years to be able to afford a decent copy, but it's MINE.
