Did everyone catch the new episode tonight? We got Starro & the Challengers of the Unknown in the short open and Blue Beetle, Guy Gardner and the GL Corps for the main act.

All in all, a very cool episode. Can't wait to see the resolution of the Starro part!

Just watched the Blue Beetle episode and enjoyed it. The opening of The Challengers of the Unknown done via old school animation was a nice touch.

The Challs opener was interesting.
In fact Batman wasn't even needed. His inclusion felt filler.
Overall a VERY GOOD opener.

Main story wasn't as good.
In fact it may have better they had used Hal Jordan instead of Batman to convince the GLC and the Guardians that Blue Beetle was trustworthy.

I just don't like Batman in space flying around in his rocket ship.
Feels odd.

I wasn't too happy with how the GLC was portrayed as more or less pushovers in the episode.

Kid Flash wasn't introduced in the show (neither Was Barry Allen, though) but the original Teen Titans formation (Brave and the bold) did not have Wondergirl.

I enjoyed the Aquaman vacation episode. Mera's hair looked like Katey Sagal's from Married with Children.

It was also nice to see Aquaman's son alive and acting like a typical bored teen on a family vacation. The Super Friends title cards for each mini team-up was funny. Good to see the Penguin appear.

And seeing Enemy Ace animated was the best part!

The title cards were hilarious. My favorite bit was when AM spotted Sportsmaster.

This looks amazing!

Black Canary, Per Degaton, Wildcat, Hawkman, Hourman, Dr. Mid-Nite and Jay Garrick...

Now that's some guest-stars!

Thanks for posting the link with pics!

I forgot about that part! That was awesome. It looked like Aquaman was about to run Sportsmaster off the road with his RV until he saw that the villain was merely taking his kids on vacation too.

It's not everyday you see Aquaman and Mera touring the USA in an RV!

This just makes me miss the Mike Parobeck JSA series in the 90's the series and him were gone way too soon.

Loved seeing Detective Chimp animated!

The JSA was cool, but why didn't Dr. Mid-Nite use any of his blackout bombs? All the other characters used their powers except for him.

Always great to see Black Canary return. (No singing this time though...)

I loved Detective Chimp in the cold opening....seriously cool...and False Face as the villain.

And the JSA was cool...Wildcat, Flash, Hourman, Hawkman, Dr MidNight, and Black Canary. Though them treated Batman like a rookie was odd, and the chauvinistic treatment of Black Canary was odd.

But still all in all a lot of fun.

Interesting that Black Canary Sr. had a Canary cry in this universe and Degaton was less a time traveler but a time changer. And a tech based Spear of Destiny.
