Michael, I have no idea whether Blade of Kumori #6 will ever see print. I have my doubts. Half of the issue is written, but I don't know that I'd have time in my schedule to finish it if opportunity arose. Sorry.

Thanks Ron. I didn't think I'd ever see another issue again. But I still had a bit of hope. Good luck...

Here's a question...Kyle doesn't really have a rogues gallery. Fatality and (maybe) Sonar aside, he really doesn't have any real gallery to speak of...will that change?

Egad, I may have opened Pandora's Box here. I'll try to take this in order.

One overall thing, though. I find it interesting that people automatically assume that Kyle will: 1) become the god-like Ion again, and 2) lose his ties to the Corps and the GL legacy in general. I mean, they do call him Torch Bearer, right? So here we go...

Louie, see above about the previous Ion story. However, my intention is to make the new series as new-reader friendly as possible. We won't ignore the past, but we won't wallow in a lot of continuity navel gazing either.

Thank you kind sir. I was kind of hoping for this answer.

I will wait and see how it pans out Ree: Kyle being Ion or still part of GL Corps.
It 's only comics folks!

Okay so from your answers it's safe to assume this is an ongoing? I'm not sure that its ever been explicitedly said and I know people were asking about it (sorry if its since been answered) so I figured I'd ask for clarification.

I know you didn't ask for this, but one villain I'd love to see return is Grayven. Loved that guy's first story and think there's tons of potential with that character. I'm not asking you to tell me if you have plans to use him or not, just wanted to let you know I'd love it if you did.

Oh, and the more Torquemada, the better.

Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions. Best of luck getting that CF script done.

Any idea if the book will launch with a special cover artist? Like you had with Brando on your last arc?

Light socket style spiked hair or new hair?

I hope you're already planning some cool new energy constructs to wow us with.

Do you look at it as a challenge of sorts to write a series that has ties and a place with other books in the franchise. But also a voice and feel of its own?

Wow. Ron Marz told me that he couldn't answer my questions. That is so cool.

(and I'm not even being remotely sarcastic here.)

I have massive respect for you to post a thread like this and answer what you can. I quit reading comics when you took over GL due to the events that unfolded within. However, if Kyle stays in the corps I'll give this book a shot.

Okay. I'm not totally worried about Alan anymore. I'll put my faith in Geoff.
Superman Returns was a great film. DO NOT REBOOT!

Marz congrats on the new job. I wish you the best and may it be your most recognized work.

With Kyle as ION will this story go deeper into the GL mythos?
Will it be in continuity with the current GL series?

Thanks for answering any/all questions Ron! I missed out on those green room chats back in the 90's but this seems so much cooler. I'm a huge fan of your GL and Silver Surfer works and can't wait to check out Cyber Force!

I was kinda wondering about the possible villians too. The possibilities with Parallax, the Controllers, Effigy [am I hoping too much for this one?], Nero, and Graven are endless. Could we see these faces in Kyle's future? Will there be new villians to come with whatever change is made to focus on specific areas of the rest of the DCU?

Mighty cool of you to do this Ron.

You ought to stop making assumptions and thinking the worst about people you don't know, and situations you aren't in a position to understand

You brought me back to comics! Thank you! You created one of my all time favorite characters. Thank You! You're coming back to Kyle! Thank You!!

01) Will Effigy return? He's such an undeveloped character. I think he can really grow like Fatality did into a strong GL rogue.

02) Is there any way to get Karl Kerschl to do at least a fill-in issue? Sorry, just a personal love of his art. His Kyle was really cool (for one panel) in Majestic #1.

03) Do you have a "plan" on the length of your stay with all the irons you have in the fire (Witchblade, Cyberforce et al) or is this a: till I'm asked to leave or run out of ideas thing?

04) Was there some thinking on your part in taking this on or did you agree right away?

05) Can you put my name in the first issue (tell the artist to) on a wall or in a newspaper? Sorry I couldn't resist

06) Why are you so awesome? Trying to grease the wheels for #5. Honestly I'm a big fan and hope you can make it to Ohio or the Pittsburgh Comicon in the near future.

07) Can Karl Kerschl draw a cover? Well, do you know who the cover artist will be or if the first issue will have more than one cover?

08) When will we find out more on this series? Couple weeks? Couple months?

Thanks again for making me a happy comic collector and bringing me back to comics in the first place!
