Default Possible Global Guardians members

(No, I won't stop!)

I've stated my love for the concept repeatedly in the past. With "Checkmate" having ended, and many of those characters languishing about, as well as many cool, underutilized/underdeveloped international characters and cool DCU Earth locations, this book seems like a no-brainer to me. It's just waiting for the right creative team to make it happen.

So, I thought it would be fun to start a list of heroes from various countries (UN member countries only) that could appear on an active roster. More prominent countries could have either a rotating chair or several active hero representatives at one time... or both, allowing for, say, the US to have many "name" characters appear.

Please limit your responses to two characters per country, per post, until it seems that country's supply of potential members have been exhausted in order to keep it fun (we'll save the US for last.)

I'll start with:

Russian Federation:

1. Red Star

2. Tundra (extremely few appearances ever)

Russia
My actual Russian picks would be Red Star and probably Rocket Red or Pozhar as a backup (is he still associated with Russia?). But to add to the list:

A new Fireball (successor to the Young Allies member from THE YOUNG ALL-STARS)

Any surviving members of Blue Trinity?

Brian, I wasn't suggesting that each member nation only have two reps, I was simply suggesting that each poster limit their responses to two characters to keep it fun. Some nations don't have any characters that I'm aware of. I'd say that larger member nations like the US, Russia and China should have more representatives, and even have rotating spots so more characters can be used if a writer so choses. I could totally see John Ostrander or Gail Simone writing this (except John would probably kill off too many for my taste.)

I know, I just, personally, wouldn't recommend any nation having more than 1 or 2 at a time. So, I was limiting myself, but still wanted to offer some new suggestions.

Ostrander would be fantastic. I'd also say J. Torres or Eric Trautmann would be good.

Greece is a bit easy by having Wonderwoman, Warkiller or the Olympian as a member. Though only really Olympian would likely qualify I'd guess.

Rome could have Alpha Centurion.

(Pssst. Africa is a continent)

And since this seems to be going free-willy style, let's take it by continent.

North America:

Canada:

1. Centrix

2. Freight Train

3. Flying Fox

4. Plastique

5. Sparx
