Here's some (non) news: Ryan Reynolds on The Flash
Although The Flash has been announced with David Goyer attached to direct, Ryan Reynolds, who has been rumored to play the speedy superhero, still does not know what's going on.

ComingSoon.net/SuperheroHype.com caught up with Reynolds at the press day for his new film Smokin' Aces and here's what the jovial and hilarious actor had to say.

"It's a hundred and eight billion dollar movie if they do it. I don't know how that stuff works and I don't really get involved with it. I think if they do it, they're going to see it through the eyes of Wally West and its inanimate world. I can hear people falling asleep while I'm talking about this. I honestly don't know. It's just such a huge undertaking. I'd love to wear a red unitard sometime, but I can do that on my own."

You can see Reynolds in Smokin' Aces on January 26.

Reynolds has also joined the myspace bandwagon. When you're done hounding Goyer, you can show your supportto him about the Flash here!

barry would be the absolute best choice with a nod to jay. maybe even an intro of kid flash(wally) but that really is pushing it.

wally is my second choice but i'm a barry fan.

what about villains? i vote for zoom or captain boomerang.

I'd like to see a flashback of Jay as the flash in WW2, with the events in realtime being Barry gaining his powers and becoming the flash. Zoom/Cold whoever turn up and barry finds the old flash to help defeat them. Wally is more of a secondary character (unpowered but still iris's nephew and barry's biggest fan) but perhaps his "accident" could come at the end as a potential chiffhanger/set up for the next film.

I'd like to see Wally as the Flash in this, and maybe a Wally comic might pop up during the release of this movie.

Default Goyer's Flash - R.I.P.

From David Goyer's mySpace blog

Goyer Flash R.I.P.

Well, I've been waiting a few months to relate this news -- but I am sad to say that my version of The Flash is dead at WB. The God's honest truth is that WB and myself simply couldn't agree on what would make for a cool Flash film. I'm quite proud of the screenplay I turned it. I threw my heart into it and I genuinely think it would've been the basis of a ground-breaking film. But as of now, the studio is heading off in a completely different direction. I expect you'll hear of some new developments on that front shortly.

But in happier news, I'll soon be able to report on what I've been doing INSTEAD of The Flash. Stay tuned.

Maybe DC could publish a one-shot of his story?

Yeah, this stinks. At least with Goyer at the helm, we were pretty much guaranteed a faithful rendition of the Flash.
Maybe now he can do Batman 3...or even Superman 2? OOH...maybe Wonder Woman!

You see, this is the real reason Jack Black is off Green Lantern. He's playing Barry.
