Default The Return Of Guy Gardner Warrior. Kinda.

Guy Gardner--From Blue Collar To Blackest Night.
Forget The Super Powers-Get To Know The Guy.

There's a Herculean task being performed that you may or may not know about. Chuck Minsker, former TV news and children's show producer, has been turning the a giant wheel on a daily basis for a while now, (kinda like Conan did in the Arnold movie) the results are a daily comic book review, 365 days a year. He does daily reviews of the latest comics and weekly trips into Classic Comics as well.

This week Chuck Minsker dips into his Classic Comic Book Review Vault and hauls out Guy Gardner: Warrior #40 by Me, Beau Smith, Aaron Lopresti, Dan Davis and Tony Daniel. I wanted to share this review with those of you that were friendly with my two year run on Guy Gardner: Warrior and those of you that never had the chance to really get to know the personality of Guy Gardner.

Guy Gardner: Warrior #40 is a stand alone story (A rare item today in super hero comics) with no tagged event. It's got Gorilla Grodd, Lady Blackhawk, Buck Wargo And The Monster Hunters and perhaps Guy Gardner's greatest foe...his mother.

Please check out the review and make Chuck Minsker's site a daily stop for your entertainment reading.

Cool. One of my favorite issues from the run, and easily the best cover.

Thanks, Dan. I personally enjoyed this issue because of the characters and the fun. Having Gorilla Grodd as the bad guy was a childhood day dream of mine.

Your amigo,

Beau

Hmm... don't remember the match up against Gorilla Grodd. I'll have to go back and relive that one. Definitely remember the cover though.

Thanks for pointing out the review, Beau. I agree, wholeheartedly, with one of the comments, GUY GARDNER: WARRIOR needs to be collected.

Brian,

Maybe DC will collect the stuff one day. They are pretty good about collecting a lot of different stuff that they've done through the years.

I just want it to be in my life time..Haha.

Thanks,

Beau

Hopefully, if the new GL ongoing is successful along with the success of the TALES OF THE GLC collections, we'll see it sooner rather than later.

I hope the fallout of the 3rd Army and the event its supposed to lead into results in Guy getting his Warrior powers back.
