Default DC April Solicitations

Hey all,

Check back here at 5PM EST for DC's April Solicitations.

John Hays spent a good part of Saturday formatting the solicitation information and cover images for Silverbulletcomicbooks.com.

I'll provide a link at 5PM.

[UPDATE: Here's the link: http://www.silverbulletcomicbooks.co...4482119945.htm

Thanks to John Hays for some grueling formatting work!]

I'm sure it's 5 PM somewhere in the world. Let's have a look-see now.

On another note, I'm shocked and disappointed that the solicits didn't leak like they usually do. Why does DC have such a bull**** policy regarding its solicitations?

CHECKMATE #1
Written by Greg Rucka
Art by Jesus Saiz
Cover by Lee Bermejo
Checkmate holds the line. Cross it — and they’ll take you off the board. Permanently.
In this thrilling new ongoing series, the team behind the blockbuster OMAC PROJECT — writer Greg Rucka & artist Jesus Saiz — returns with a different spy agency for a different world. Infinite Crisis has changed the DCU, and Checkmate has shaped its hard-learned lessons into a new game plan.
In Checkmate, it’s all about the balance of power. Between Black and White; between human and metahuman; and between the familiar faces who have become its new Kings and Queens. It’s also about the propaganda wars, black ops combat, and political maneuvering that fuel Checkmate’s critical missions — missions that take a grueling toll on the agents’ day-to-day lives.
First, however, they must prove their right to exist — to the U.N. And they only have hours to do it in this breathtaking first issue! For a signed edition, see the Dynamic Forces section of Previews.
On sale April 26 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US

DC actually takes the "leaks" very seriously. When they send the solits to the news outlets, here's the accompanying warning:

All April 2006 instore information maintains an embargo date of Monday, January 16 at 5:00pm Eastern Standard Time. Any violation of this embargo date, sharing of passwords or informing others of DC's ADV site will result in the permanent loss of access to this and all future advance material.
ddf

When do the solits usually appear on DC's own site? Same time? 5PM?

If so, I would imagine the embargo is in place to make ensure the solicitations appear on DC's site at the same time as the other news sites.

Lets see, if it's a new DC Direct line....we would of course need new Superman and Batman figures, which we already know are Bruce and Clark still. The other 3 would be anyone except Booster Gold, Businessman Lex, or Stargirl.....

Of course, if they were solicited this week, they would hit stores about 2015, just in time for the 10 year aniversery of IC.
