Default Rumors regarding new Flash team

"The writers for the Flash TV show and Ken Lashley on art will be the new creative team on Flash" is a rumor going around on Millarworld, which apparently may or may not be confirmed in the next issue of Wizard.

Thoughts?

I'm just not really thrilled about this at all. They wrote a show fifteen years ago, that was fun, but just isn't up to the standard that I have set in my head for Flash. After great writers like Waid, Johns, Loebs, and the Morrison/Millar team, these TV guys are gonna have to work [email protected] hard to impress me.

Agreed. It remains to be seen if this rumor is true or not, but given the talent on the last Flash series, I was hoping for some better news. I know that Waid and Geoff feel that they've done all they can with Wally (maybe even the Flashes in general), but I'd rather see Morrison or some other trusted comic book writer as opposed to two guys who wrote a semi-decent tv show at best.

Grant Morrison on Flash would be a dream come true. And as penciler Ed Mcguinness!

I am not blown away, kind of disappointed but willing to give whatever new team there is a chance.

Having looked at the art,

Yea, I might have to drop the book.

I can't see the Barry TV series guys writing BART, and I'm not sure I want to.

Well, this is a little disappointing. While I like Ken Lashley's art, I was really hoping for Steve Scroce. (Wonder what those who complained about Scroce not keeping a monthly schedule are going to say about Ken!?)

This really wasn't the "Big Reveal" I was expecting.

One thing I do keep remembering though is oh so long ago when a new writer was announced for the Flash series...a lot of people were going "Geoff Johns? Who the heck is that?!?"
It could work out quite well, but...like I said, I was expecting a little more BANG in my Viola!

But how often lightning strikes twice ? I think DC is taking a risk with this new team, with lots of high profile books debuting at the same time, the book might be overlooked by casual readers.

Hopefully when we read an interview with the creative team things will sound better.
