Default so...The Spirit..?

i don't really see it doing so good at the box office.
i mean, sin city was great, but the way miller keeps making these movies, it just gets kinda boring...the whole referring to a city as a woman, the scratchy throat, dominatrix minded women, and black and white...it's just kind of old. for me, at least.
what do you think? i'm just putting my two cents in by saying i'm not looking forward to it, but i'll probably somehow end up watching it anyways.

I lose more interest with everything I see about this movie. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I got a bad feeling about this!!

Miller's style is Miller's style, and I'm actually a fan.

However this is a mismatch of creator with property of epic scale.

The Spirit isn't just noir, it's also lighthearted and goofy at times. Miller APPEARS to have put none of that in his film. I'm not gonna write it off until I see it, but...it's not feeling right to me.

I saw the trailer in front of Mummy 3. And.. it just flat doesn't feel right for Eisner's SPIRIT.

I will see it, but it makes me sad that this could be someone's first interaction with the Spirit.

Look up the fight scene footage floating around online. That's really all you need to see. Don't worry...it's GOOFY. Just not in an overly good way.

Shouldn't this be in the television, movies and animation forum?

You're right. Sam Jackson as a Nazi is too...but not in an Eisner way...

If you take my meaning.

I can't believe a studio was willing to let Miller helm this. It's not like he has a huge resume on directing.

You know, I know nothing about the Spirit, I've never read a Spirit story, but everything I've seen just makes me want to avoid this like the plague. I'm a big Samuel L Jackson fan, but I'm shaking my head at his role.

I saw the SDCC footage of Jackson vs. the Spirit and it was like really bad slapstick. I mean seriously bad. Made the Three Stooges look like The Dark Knight.

Superman Returns was a great film. DO NOT REBOOT!

i suppose if you can justify a man of 43 going after a 16 year old every chance he gets without actually saying you don't like me, then i guess i do have a thin skin.
