Was there and gave up after the last time it slipped to the point that I just didn't care.

Eh, I'll always try to find comics I like. Its just a pity that DC is rumored to be posed to double down on the stuff I haven't liked over the past few years vs some of this new stuff that was somewhat more interesting to me.

There's always independents. And Marvel has been doing several books I've really enjoyed. So I still have comics to read.

Good review and I'm 50/50 too... the book is so damn slow and I know it's an origin story but Christ, if Roy Thomas can tell a doctor fate origin story in one issue that includes a fight and victory against Wotan and even introduce a supporting cast member with Inza... What on earth is Levitz doing besides trying to force PC for the sake of diversity.

Eric Strauss? Linda Strauss? Jared Stevens? Hector Hall? It's just not the same...Bring back KENT & INZA NELSON (Justice League animated style)

I thought issue #5 went forward enough to stick with it. The cover was a real treat. I feel like I've seen that done before, maybe by Will Eisner on a Spirit splash page. Anyway, there was enough in the confrontation to keep me going.

I can't help but feel compelled to compare this to the new Dr.Strange book at Marvel. I feel like it should be a little more cosmic and less about Fate's misgivings and fallibilties. While the first issue of Dr. Strange touched on these, it did a better job of communicating the seriousness of the challenge.

I've about had enough. I truly wish to like this book. I like the writer and appreciate the artist. It simply has failed to hold my interest. But the proverbial straw came about halfway through this issue. There's a series of panels with something written where the coloring makes it damn near impossible for these 66 year old eyes to read. I would like to point out that the idea is to communicate. I actually threw the book down in disgust. I don't intend to pick it up.

Don't tase me, bro.
