Default How much $ do you want to return to Superman, Geoff?

I'm serious.

I'll start a collection (it's in my blood as a Catholic ) and we'll raise it.

I, and a bunch of other folk, want you back on Superman.

Not just a one-shot, or arc, or mini, or even maxi. We want you on for years.

I'd stopped reading Superman for a long time (after Seagle came on, no offense to him) and then you were coming aboard. First issue of Last Son and I was hooked!

I've been loving SO as well. I was re-reading the scene between Lois and Perry in #3...great dialogue that just speaks to you like you're in the room hearing it.

C'mon, Geoff. You can handle The Flash, GL, and Superman. Even with your new gig.

I'm sure we can raise at least uh, well, a thousand bucks or so. That's some good times, right?

Right?

He probably could if he wasn't also doing the Earth-1 Batman OGNs and Brightest Day and Flashpoint after that.

Don't get me wrong. Geoff's Action Comics is my favorite out of all the books he's done, and I'd love to see him return to Superman some day. He probably will. But he also has the right to choose his own projects, and his schedule for the foreseeable future is packed.

^^^Hey there, I never said the man doesn't have the right to choose his books. C'mon!

I'm just saying we can offer him some green if he'll return sooner than later.

And I didn't forget BD and B:E1, I just figure most of the work on those is put to bed writing-wise.

But?

Does Geoff want to go back to Superman? With all he's doing he may not want to, or maybe he feels he's told all of the Superman stories he has in him right now.

What, he's pretending to be bound by the laws of physics, now? Ha! He's Geoff Bloody Johns! He rewrites the laws of physics for a living!

No, seriously. He literally rewrites the laws of physics for a living.

...I didn't say they worked.

The Earth-1 Batman thing isn't just a single OGN, it's a series of OGNs. So if he's finished with the first one, he's probably gotten started on the second. Since he's doing two a year, it's basically the same amount of work as a third ongoing monthly.

Of course, since Geoff is doing some kind of event book every year now, there's always a chance one of those will be Superman-related. I'd love to see him remake a goofy Superman villain into a big threat for the entire DCU, just like he did with Black Hand.

So maybe we'll see Prankster: Rebirth in a year or two?

You have to figure our Illustrious Premiere is probably getting the highest page rates out there. At best you've bought a sentence...heh

It'd be funny if the sentence was..

"I am going to walk across America."

Oh crap, I didn't realize how high the page rate would be. Okay, a sentence.

"Tired of walking, Superman returns to Metropolis to find it replaced by New York city."

Thus begins the new year-long arc "Superman: Prime Time," featuring Superman in OUR world!

If Geoff is taking requests, I would like to see him fix the Captain Marvel family. Though it's just a hunch, but we might see that Lois thing after Brightest Day.
