Default The Return of Bruce Wayne - Reading Order?

When Batman RIP and Final Crisis were running Grant Morrison provided the intended reading order of his work.

Code:
DC Universe #0, Batman #676 - #681, Final Crisis #1 - #3, Final Crisis: Superman Beyond	#1 - #2, Final Crisis: Submit, Final Crisis #4 - #5, Batman #682 - #683, Final Crisis #6 - #7
Now, with Batman and Robin #13-#16, The Return of Bruce Wayne #1-#6 and Batman #700-#702, all of those came out parallel, in part heavily delayed. I know these storylines can be read independently from each other, but I would like to know if Morrison intended for a specific reading order.

Does anyone know if Morrison has provided a compareable reading order for the Return of Bruce Wayne?

I think Red Robin comes before both Outsiders and Ra's and Batgirl comes before Catwoman but after Batman and Robin.

It's like a logic puzzle.

Ya, I kinda agree.
'Return #5' just came out (along with the One-Shots) and 'Return #6' won't be out until next month?

Does it matter which order the one-shots are read? Or are they all independent of each other? I want to read them, but I'm scared I'll spoil something.

I ordered the majority of them and yes, they do have a specific order because they say the story continues in another Road Home issue. Of course it would've been nice for DC to have this stated somewhere, but it's DC.

They are really meant to be read in the order they were published. Morrison purposefully set up both ROBW and the B&R arcs to separately reveal pieces of the puzzle as each moved on.

But if you insist on a reading order, then . . .

Batman RIP, Batman 701-702, Final Crisis (and Batman tie-in issues that explain how he breaks free), Return of Bruce Wayne, B&R 13-16.

You can completely leave out the Road Home. It was perfectly fine on its own, but I don't think it makes any sense or any difference on the overall Morrison story.

Default A little new at this...

My husband is a HUGE fan of DC comics. I am more of a Marvel and Indie girl. He has been talking about The Return of Bruce Wayne for a long long time. For Valentine's Day I bought him the newly released hardcover edition. I see that there are several Batman and Robin books that are hardbacks as well. Can someone tell me what is in what? I see the reading order above but am not sure which big books I need to get him to go along with this. Please help. I am way out of my depth when it comes to DC stuff.

Thanks!!

The Batman & Robin hardcovers by Morrison are great. Recommend getting all of those, though they aren't all about the return of Bruce Wayne. Not all of the return stuff is out in trade yet. Batman & Robin Vol 3 will feature part of it.
