Default Poll -- Shipping On Time Or Maintain The Creative Team?

I've seen many posts expressing concerns about the delays on Green Lantern. Some of them have come from me!

But I think that Johns/Reis is an amazing team, and I frankly would rather have each issue done by them less frequently than have fill-ins with other artists or (gasp) writers.

So, my question is: what would you prefer?

Keep the Johns/Reis team intact for every issue, even if it means delays?

Or make sure the book comes out monthly even if it means fill-ins?

It's been an issue up until now. Whether or not the delays are over with is something yet to be seen.

I'd rather see every issue done by Johns and Reis. Stories this good need to have the same creative team. I've stayed fairly consistant on my view of delays. If the book is consistently great, I'm cool with waiting.

I would have been really dissapointed if someone had filled-in on The Ultimates for Bryan Hitch. I feel the same way about GL.

It looks like, for the most part things are caught up, and the purposeful skip month (no regular GL title offered in January) may keep it that way.

On the slate, it looks like the second issue in November happens next Wednesday and then #16 will hit last week in December, or first week in January and #17 is soliceted for the end of February.

That said, I love how the book reads and looks with the current crew, GJ/Ivan/Moose and company, so the delays haven't bothered as much as others.

I'd rather have 12 issues a year and a really good "regular" fill in artist. Checkmate has something like that going on, and I think its just brilliant.

I don't know how I feel. GL isn't my favorite of Geoff's books so sometimes I am fine with it being late. And I really like Reis on the book so I think I rather see him keep drawing the book instead of a fill-in. Although, I wouldn't mind say a "Times Past" type story if the creative team needs a break or something.

Hal isn't my favorite GL so I'm fairly indifferent to this, if Geoff and whoever draws the title stay it's good, if they leave I can accept that easily enough too.

I would say get another artist to help Ivan Reis too, I mean I think in February they are having another artist with him. I want both Quality coming out on time.

Rotate the artists, ala-"Superman/Batman".

I vote for Ivan Reis, Ethan van Sciver and Shane Davis. We'll have 12 issues a year, even more.

Easily the best way of doing things for an ongoing monthly IMO also.

In the case of a big event where its only 6 or 7 issues like IC or Civil War I definately think you should wait for the artist though.

If having a fill in artist can keep the book on schedule then i don't have a problem with it. I don't see why Green Lantern should be any different from any other title DC puts out.

As long as the delays don't get into the 7-8 week range I'm cool with this. I want Geoff on the book!
