Personally, I would have preferred James Franco as Bats opposite Cavill's Superman.

Franco's pretty smart, but plays it off as no big deal, so I could see him being able to identify with a young Bruce Wayne on that level and being able to translate those qualities to the big screen.

If it was an older actor playing an older Superman, then an older actor like Ben Affleck playing an older Bruce wouldn't have me a little worried about the movie being good (not that it still couldn't be good mind you, just conveying some personal thoughts on the matter)

You know, I was worried about Keaton and thought that was a blunder until I saw it and I was worried about Evans playing Cap...so I think I'll wait for the finished product before getting my knickers in a knot.

I think this casting has more to do with an assistant of Luthor's than Batman, but here ya go:

I would like to see Timothy Dalton play Alfred. Not sure he is old enough though. Maybe he'd have to be "son of Alfred." Heck, for all I know Alfred should be dead from old age when this story takes place. Still, I want Timothy Dalton - I liked him in "Hot Fuzz."

That's a great idea idea, I can totally see that. Even his character history would be appropriate for Alfred's experience and skills- Prince Barin, Bond and then Alfred. I totally see that. The only choice that comes close would be Christopher Plummer.

I like this. He's so good, and unfortunately we'll never get a Sinestro solo film.

Marvel Studios has a bit of a hard time doing movies featuring solo female characters too but they would do an interesting take on WW for sure and *sighs* probably get the movie made and in theaters a lot faster

My suggestion to the comic movie studios: read Warren Ellis's "Anna Mercury" miniseries from Avatar to see how a heroine can be depicted cinematically, then give us a WW, Birds of Prey, and Black Widow movie.

while I am initially not really excited about him being cast as Batman I do agree that we should wait and see how he does and how the story is.

I think that interview is further proof that Ben Affleck is a member of ComicBloc! My suspicion is that he's really Jake1823. It would explain things.

For sure. I think Keith Dallas Arcademan is really Jimmy Kimmel then since he's always apologizing that he doesn't have time for Eric!
