This is fantastic!

There is so much to be excited about with this
OGN!!! A whole story (or a whole chapter) in one go...no more losing momentum after six months or needing to construct the narrative around 22 page-cliffhanger format.

No Continuity!! Free reign, creative freedom! always a good thing.

and of course BATMAN AND GEOFF JOHNS!!! *geekgasm*

Usually I don't really get into alternate takes or Elsewords (Ok, JLA: THE NAIL was awesome), but with current DC continuity being so screwed up and constantly rebooted over the past 15 years (and only getting worse), this actually sounds promising. I'm really looking forward to JMS' SUPERMAN: EARTH ONE, because BIRTHRIGHT and SECRET ORIGIN just aren't doing it for me.

I wonder if Adam Hughes long-awaited ALL-STAR WONDER WOMAN will morph into an EARTH ONE title (and Geoff's Batgirl proposal for that matter)?

Geoff Johns writing a book set on an alternate Earth?

Yeah, I'll buy that.

JMS' description of S:EO and the ground he will be covering there for the characterisation of Clark sound slike alot of the same ground Geoff is covering in Secret Origin. I hope it doesnt feel like a rehash

I'm expecting some overlap; it'd be hard for there not to be some. JMS and Geoff are very different writers, though - even with similar material I'd expect very different stories from the two of them.

OK so by the title of Earth One I assume that these books are in the multiverse. So what Earth are we reading about on a monthly basis?

Batman, Geoff Johns, Gary Frank. This is probably the best combination in comic books ever.

Really looking forward to JMS's Superman as well.

Hey, it's DC's version of Ultimate Marvel. Sounds good, let's hope they can up with original stories and not just retelling with a twist.

Looking forward for this, JMS has been wanting to write Superman for a while now.
Johns on Batman? Hopefully its gonna be *******! Anyways, Hope that these things won't be another "All-Star" (Not that I'd mind another All-Star Superman, but I could do without Miller's God-Damn Batman)

So...this is the Superman Straczynski would do...Supes:Origins is already there so what's the point for a paralleled one? Well it's Straczynski so it can be good. Furthermore...Batman: Earth One comes from scribe Geoff Johns! Now that's something that I'm looking forward to. Hey, he'll make a [email protected] Alfred!

I might get them just for the art alone. Davis and Frank are white hot, but, again, back to re-telling the origins of characters that we know for years but with a different twist, blah, blah, blah.

Newsarama journalists ask these questions to Joe Q and Dan Buckley: Why place a $3.99 price tag for only 22 page of materiel?

I don't even think we, the people of this very site, know how incredibly sweet and just plain gorgeous this is going to be.

I smell their fear, and it is sweet.
