How accessible would you say this mini is to a new Artifactsverse reader?

Sonic did a great job of answering it, Brian. My two cents: I wrote issue #1 to be as accessible as possible. We even added additional pages in the issue, so we could start with a sequence that would explain some background.

Hope you take the plunge!

Sounds reasonably accessible. Thanks for the info. I have a very very basic understanding of the Artifactsverse, sounds like that'll be sufficient.

Do people actually call it the "artifactsverse"? I always heard it called the "Mooniverse" (from Top COW ya know) but what do I know, I am relatively new to Witchblade and The Darkness since they did the Darkness video game.

Uhhh... as far as I know, I made "Artifactsverse" up. I was trying to distinguish Darkness, Witchblade, Angelus, etc. from other Top Cow Universe properties like Cyberforce and Hunter-Killer.

OK cool, I gotcha now. Yeah, I haven't read much of Cyberforce or Hunter-Killer yet so I tend to forget about them. A few things. Been wanting to pick up some trades sometimes.

Definately pick up the Hunter Killer trade as soon as you can. It's a very good story.

I have a question for all Top Cow fans out there. I just got into reading comics recently and I picked up Angelus (as well as Tracker and Murderer). I know the story of Darkness and Witchblade (my friends filled me in) but I wonder if I can just stick to Angelus or would it be impossible to follow the story? First issue seemed pretty self-explanatory. Also, What are the chances of Angelus becoming on-going series?

I asked the same question earlier in this thread. Here's Ron Marz's answer:

So, seems like you should be good with just the ANGELUS mini, especially if you already liked the first issue.

As for it becoming an ongoing, I'm sure if the mini sells well enough, it's very likely.

Thank you for a quick and meaningful advice. I asked the same question on different forums and got no answers in return so thanks a lot.

It would help to know who Dani, Sabine, Fitch, and Jackie Estacado are. One you wiki them, you should be okay, I think.
