Clone Conspiracy #5: Peter & Anna save the day. Some survive, some didnít. This was an enjoyable miniseries.

The Amazing Spider-Man #24: After reading the Clone Conspiracy, I didnít know how a Ben Reilly: Scarlet Spider title would even be made. Well, this issue answers that question.

Prowler #5: We learned a lot of what happened to Hobie in Clone Conspiracy #5 & this issue gave us a little more insight. I liked the developments in both. Just wish theyíd get a new art team.

Silk #17: More of the same with what we saw in Clone Conspiracy #5, just from Cindyís perspective.

Daredevil #17: Confession time with Matt telling about his time in San Fran & NY when everyone knew he was Daredevil. This was an introspective look, fine for what it was.

Black Widow #11: Natasha battles the Red Room Runts, while the fate of SHIELD hangs in the balance. Good issue.

Invincible Iron Man #4: I thought this issue was a letdown, too much talking that didnít go anywhere with Riri & Pepper fighting on a rooftop against ninjas & a souped-up Iron Man armor.

U.S. Avengers #3: This was a bit too simplistic of a story & a bit dull. Would like to have seen The Golden Skull stick around a bit longer too.

Power Man/Iron Fist #13: A lot of talk this issue, not a lot happening we didnít already know (except for the end). Felt like a very long recap in a way.

Donít think Black Mariah would be so down with Alex Wilderís magic, considering what happened with Jenny before. I donít think this aspect is consistent with the character/story.

Will see how things wind down for this title.

Inhuman vs X-Men #4 : Not the worst installment of the mini. Ms Marvel is one of the few characters in the story with much discernible characterization. She spoke for the audience with her final great line of the issue.

Uncanny Inhumans #19 : Actually liking the little one-off Maximus arc. It
underscores what's been missing from the series overall.. a good strong villain, as well as focus on the Royals. Hopefully Maximus sticks around to meddle in things.

All New X-Men #18: Bought this by accident, as it was an I vs X tie-in.
I want so badly to like the X-Men, but can't get past the young/old nonsense. it at least provided some characterization for Young Cyclops. Honestly they should just kill the older versions and it would all be less confusing.

Uncanny Inhumans: Monsters Unleashed #1 : Something about the Royals battling a monster....the takeaway is that Karnak is a coldblooded killer ...I guess?...

Inhumans vs X-Men #5 : Unintelligible mess. Just a parade of costumes with no personality. Front page was no help, as all it did was name some of them. (And yet not half the characters in the story). Who or what is Fantomex? Is it a mystery ? What is Mosaic's purpose as he randomly bounces around between bodies? Should I care? This is a case example of everything that's wrong with Marvel events. 5 issues of navel-gazing with minimal progression in the story. Meh.

Foolkiller #4: Another talkative Marvel comic with no action. Foolkiller talks to Deadpool throughout the issue & then confronts the guy who impersonated him at issueís end. Quite boring. Will have to see how they conclude things next issue.

Kingpin #1: Wilson Fisk wants a reporter to write his biography, to tell people who he is now (compared to the person he was once was). This was a good debut issue.

Elektra #1: Elektra is in Vegas at a casino where anything goes, ran by Arcade. Good debut issue. Iím a big Arcade fan, so this title is already starting off well for me.

Gwenpool #12: Never read this title, but with Arcade on the cover, Iím in. He created a video game/murderworld for mercenaries. This was a fun issue.

True Believers All-New Wolverine #1: Iíve been meaning to check out this title, because Iím a fan of writer Tom Taylor. With the Logan movie out and at $1 (even cheaper online), this is a perfect opportunity to try the title out. Really good story, with decent art. Iíll definitely be checking out a trade or two, or whatever amount theyíre up to.

Totally Awesome Hulk #16: The group from last issue are taken off-world (with other people) to be eaten by the alien invaders. Sounds weird, but it was a really good issue this time around.

Gamora #3: Gamora comes upon who sheís been hunting for & learns that sheís (Gamora) not the last of her race. Good issue.

Guardians of the Galaxy #16: Gamora looks for Thanos but gets locked up instead. Good issue.

Star Lord #3: Quillís working at the bar, meets up with Daredevil & returns some stolen money. Interesting issue.

Rocket Raccoon #3: Love the cover. This issue is actually enjoyable. Kraven is hunting Rocket. I forget why, but it doesnít matter really. This is a fun read. Going to have to get the next one to see how this story concludes.

Champions #5? And the monsters unleashed special.

Both issues lost sight of the chaarcters preferring to try to deal with issues (racism, environmental) rather than character. The unsure racist cop and his supposedly iron rule of the town was about as subtle a commentary as a 70s hicksplotation film.

I'm out of the title.

Inhuman vs X-Men #6 : I wanted to like this mini, I really did. But unfortunately it crystallized for me why I can't get into the current Marvel books, despite many attempts...none of the characters had any rooting value or heart. I'm okay with Medusa as the mean badass Queen, and Emma Frost as the mean badass leader and Wolverine as the mean badass warrior and Karnak as the cold mean badass strategist...but where are the kind characters with heart to challenge their decisions and struggle with their choices? Ms Marvel, was about the only character who took that role in one issue only (#4). Rogue used to play this role, and Crystal in the inhumans. There were so many missed opportunities for those types of character moments.

Instead it was the story of one team of hardened warriors versus another one, all playing the role of the mean badass. The idea of the conflict was interesting and well motivated, but gave me no reason to like any of the players (well, except Ms Marvel). Another example: I felt nothing when Medusa broke up with Johnny because their relationship was never a factor in this mini OR in their main book...it always read like an obligatory attempt to use Johhny in a book somewhere. The only moment with resonance for me was Medusa finally (forgive me...) letting her hair down at the end. If anything, Medusa was the only character with a true arc throughout the story. I'd say the same for Emma, but I can't because her dark turn at the end came out of nowhere and felt completely unmotivated. "Because Scott would've wanted it that way"...really? That's it? I'd give the whole thing a C. Good concept poorly executed, while simultaneously disrupting all the related books.

Champions #6: This title, conversely, is my new and only Marvel favorite. While there haven't been any grandiose arcs yet, ALL the characters have heart and rooting value. None of them are interchangeable. This issue seemed to be building toward a longer running story with the freelancers, but the ride has been enjoyable and fun. More of this please!

USAvengers #4 - I thought it was a pretty fun and weird book. Liked the cover parodies as part of the story.

Ultimates2 #4 - The Ultimates face off against the Troubleshooters in an interesting match up. But meanwhile the problem with reality still isn't being dealt with...

IVX #6 - This series is a bit frustrating in a way. It was clear from the beginning that Emma was going to be a villain but other than resolving the immediate problem by destroying the Terrigen mists, a lot seems to have been left unresolved, thus making it feel not terribly satisfactory as a concluding story.

Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #18 - the plot of her benefactor is revealed...well sort of. She's revealed as a villain, her aims are left unclear and Doreen is left in her clutches.

Champions didn't work for me either. I liked the first few issues but I always kind of cringe when Waid tries to do "relevant".

Uncanny Avengers #21 was cool though - the Red Skull/ Xavier's brain stuff is finally getting paid off.

Despite the crazy cover price, Amazing Spider-Man #25 was strong too. I'm glad Mockingbird is back in the book - I ship her and Spidey and their interplay just seems to make the book stronger.

Also I'm behind a little on Spider-Woman but catching up on the Hobgoblin story and finding it really compelling. Another arc that pays off some stuff that's been building throughout the run.
