Default A-Force, all female Avengers Team

http://mashable.com/2015/02/06/marve...ngers-a-force/

G. Willow Wilson and Marguerite Bennett are the writers, Jorge Molina is the artist.

I'm curious enough to give it a shot (and Wilson's earned a lot of points with me for Ms. Marvel; can't remember atm if I've read anything by Bennett)

Apparently this was the announcement that was supposed to be made on THE VIEW today (if anyone watched) but was bumped by news and such on the show.

This lineup looks pretty cool. And it reminds me: I need to read more Inhuman, because more Medusa is always good. So glad to see 'Dusa as a player in the MU.

Marvel's creative vision gets more narrow with every announcement. I will pass on this crap.

I notice Dazzler is in her disco-era costume again.

Since this is connected to Secret Wars, I wonder if this Dazzler is going to be from the 1970s.

Or if they're just reverting that weirdness that Bendis was up to in Uncanny.

I'm looking forward to how it might work.

Fearless Defenders was similarly a every female in Marvel book essentially. Hopefully this outlasts it.

I know that Fearless Defenders had The Valkyrie, Mirage and Misty Knight in it but I do not recall any other notable heroines. I know that Clea appeared in one issue but that is all that I can recall from looking though the book (never bought it )

Warrior Woman/Hippolyta, Elsa Bloodstone, and the Frankie Ray Nova, IIRC, rounded out the team. Plus original characters like Annabelle Riggs and Rin Kimura.

I thought about buying the book but did not. I would have rather seen some more well known heroines in the book on a more regular basis like Clea, Hellcat, another X-Men heroine not currently used, maybe Tigra. Warrior Woman and Elsa Bloodstone held no interest for me whatsoever.

Now did anyone read Fear Itself-The Fearless with the Valkyrie in the starring role? I did not read Fear Itself but my LCBS has a used copy of The Fearless (a hardcover) and I was thinking about picking it up.

It looks like DC is losing quite a # of their writers.

The first issue was cute.

It was fun seeing Singularity again. Should be fun to see how she interacts with everyone and assembles them.

I liked the approach to her remembering the altered timeline and trying to deal with characters she "knows but really doesn't". Makes you think being in a comic book reality could be migraine inducing just dealing with some of the crazyness.

Looking forward to how they resolve the finale.
